2025 Cadillac XT5 To Feature Widescreen LED Display

The Cadillac XT5 is poised to receive a generational overhaul for the 2025 model year, with the all-new crossover introducing new styling, an updated platform, and a totally overhauled cabin complete with new tech features. To that latter point, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 will feature a new widescreen LED display. To note, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 will be exclusive to the Chinese market.

Spy photos of the all-new 2025 Cadillac XT5 crossover.

Recent spy photos of the all new 2025 Cadillac XT5 show a camouflaged prototype out and about for some testing. Critically, our spy photographers managed to capture a shot of the overhauled cabin as well, specifically the dash, revealing a new widescreen LED display.

Looking over the photos, we see a broad screen that stretches from behind the steering wheel all the way to the center of the dash. The top of the screen arcs across the dash in an elegant curve. The design is similar to the screen found in the Cadillac Lyriq and refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4, continuing the luxury marque’s latest design direction with regard to infotainment features, likely incorporating both a digital gauge readout for the driver, as well as the broader infotainment features traditionally handled by a center-mounted touchscreen.

With regard to the exterior styling, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 will adopt a new look, with recent spy photos revealing a set of vertical headlights that bookend both sides of the front fascia. Although the prototype models spied thus far are equipped with placeholder headlight housings, the design and layout look similar to that of the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4. In addition, the grille of the overhauled XT5 incorporates a new mesh design, once again recalling the design of the refreshed XT4.

As GM Authority covered previously, GM China will be responsible for the development of the next-generation Cadillac XT5. Under the body, the crossover will ride on the GM C1-2 platform, which is essentially the second iteration of the GM C1 platform underpinning the current model. Meanwhile, the current XT5 will carry over unchanged for the 2025 model year here in the U.S.

  1. Who cares if it is for China only. GM seems much more interested in China than the USA.
Time to start looking at other makes.

  2. China ! That stinks ,after all the years the Cadillac drivers have supported and bought their vehicles ,they do this to the XT5 buyers, including myself. The present managers of this decision, needs to reconsider this policy and let us in this country have a chance to see and buy it.

  3. Real shame the XT5 is going to China. I have owned an SRX, and two XT5’s, all high end and looked forward to buying a 2024 or 2025. Unfortunately I live in the US where GM does not care to continue providing new vehicles to loyal customers. I am forced to look elsewhere for a vehicle in this segment.

  4. It’s a total disgrace to sell one of the best SUV’s that Cadillac produces to only sell in China. This is why this country is suffering from the exports and imports from China.I will keep my xt5 and hope sainer heads prevail at GM and cancel this China only model of the xt5!!!

  5. This is beyond believe that Cadillac would desert their loyal XT5 customers! We have owned 8 Cadillacs over the past 15 years and two of them XT5s. The XT4 is too small and the XT6 is too big for my needs. I just took delivery of my loaded 2023 XT5 Sport Premium and I will be looking to buy another XT5 in 2027 only if it is manufactured in the USA and has the 310 hp V6. I will not be purchasing any battery powered vehicles or any four cylinder powered vehicles! I have been a GM vehicle buyer all of life and this may be my last Cadillac…!!!

  6. The XT5 was one of Cadillac’s best selling SUV’s in North American and for that, the Next Generation XT5 will be solely built and sold in China! … WTF?

I have a 2022 XT5 Platinum and it was my very first Cadillac I ever owned after years of Buick’s, Oldsmobile’s and Chevrolet’s. As Buick is pretty much a China built product nowadays and Oldsmobile and Pontiac are brands of the past, I will either be forced back into Chevrolet’s or will need to look at other manufacturers for ICE options. What a shame!

  7. I owned two Cadillac CTS, a 2018 Cadillac XT5 and custom ordered a 2023 Cadillac XT5 Sport Premium with almost every option available. I love the Cadillac XT5s and I am very disappointed to hear the 2025 XT5s will be built only in and for China. The XT4 is too small and the XT6 is too large. I am not interested in any of the other GM crossover suvs. I also do not and will not buy anything made in China or with components from China.
I will have a difficult decision to make in a few years to replace my 2023 XT5. I am will only buy ICE vehicles not a battery powered vehicle. I also only want a V8 or V6 with 350 hp or more. What’s a guy going to do with Feds dictating the type of vehicle power, trying to kill the oil industry and even dictating the type of light bulbs we can buy. Sadly we are losing our freedoms!

  8. Is it correct that there WILL be a MY 2025 XT5 in America, just not the restyled version. I previously understood 2024 MY was the last in US.
