Two and a half years after the regional debut of the GMC Hummer EV Pickup in the Arabian Desert, General Motors has just officially launched the Hummer EV lineup in the Middle East.
The automaker finally held the official launch of the GMC Hummer EV in the Middle East, where the brand’s all-electric flagship will be offered in both its Pickup and SUV variants. After many months of anticipation, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and Hummer EV SUV arrive this summer to expand GMC’s successful range of premium trucks and utility vehicles in Southwest Asian countries.
“We are thrilled to introduce this amazing addition to our line-up of premium trucks and SUVs, which to redefine the future of off-roading,” said President and Managing Director of GM Africa & Middle East, Jack Uppal. “The anticipation for the GMC Hummer EV has been building in the region for quite some time and we are excited for our customers to take their first steps in GMC’s electric story,” he added.
In particular, the GMC Hummer EV range in the Middle East will be made up of two equipment levels that are exactly the same for both body styles. The Hummer EV Pickup and the Hummer EV SUV arrive in the region in 3X trim and fully equipped Edition 1 variants, including the most advanced technology features and the four-wheel steering system with CrabWalk mode.
All trims come equipped with three Ultium Drive motors, with the GMC Hummer EV Pickup offering a more advanced configuration and the highest output with 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of wheel torque. Meanwhile, the Hummer EV SUV boasts 830 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of wheel torque. Both have their own Ultium Battery packs with a range of more than 350 miles in the Pickup and about 300 miles in the SUV.
The GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV were officially launched in the Middle East and their first deliveries will begin during the summer months in select markets of the region, with a progressive increase in availability in more countries over the rest of the 2024 calendar year. The Hummer EV units will arrive imported from the Factory Zero plant – the only GM facility worldwide where GMC’s flagship model is manufactured.

This will actually probably sell pretty well in the Middle East. When I went to Dubai, I was surprised as to how many large American and Japanese SUVs and pickups there were. I felt like I was driving in Vegas or Miami.
Gas is cheap there, a EV sales pitch on mileage equivalent may not go too far.
You’d be surprised how popular Teslas are in Dubai. And this is a Tesla with excess. A perfect combination for wealthy Middle Eastern tastes.
Probably be its biggest market, like Lucid is there.
At what, 9000 lbs? It will definitely “Pound Sand”.
