Just weeks after introducing the all-new GMC Hummer EV pickup for the first time outside of North America at the 2021 China International Import Expo, General Motors presented the all-electric truck in the Middle East – which has so far been the GMC brand’s only export region. The Hummer EV pickup made its regional debut in Southwest Asian countries with a surprise landing in the Arabian desert during a special event.
The all-new GMC Hummer EV pickup arrived in the Middle East to celebrate the popularity of GMC’s range of off-road vehicles in the region, where the AT4 sub-brand has garnered a high level of acceptance among customers. The first supertruck further elevates the luxury off-road experience of the brand, and will open a new chapter in its long history in the Middle East when it hits local dealerships next year.
“GMC’s operations in the Middle East started in 1926. Almost a century later, we are proud to witness the continuous growth and strength of GMC’s legacy in the local market,” said the Chief Marking Officer of GM Africa and Middle East, Sharon Nishi, in a statement. “Today, we are very proud to open a new chapter with the regional reveal of the GMC Hummer EV, a first-of-its kind supertruck. When this revolutionary vehicle hits the roads of the Middle East late next year, it will be one of the most capable vehicles on and off the road,” she added.
In particular, the GMC Hummer EV pickup made its surprise debut in the Middle East in anticipation of its arrival at regional dealerships late next year. As GM’s first fully electric truck and the brand’s new flagship, the GMC Hummer EV will establish itself as the pioneer leader in the new off-road electric vehicle market.
GM claims that the all-new GMC Hummer EV pickup was built with the ability to tackle all types of terrain, including the rocky roads and sandy dunes of the Middle East. In addition to the brutal, class-leading 1,000 horsepower output, the electric truck brings standout features like adaptive air suspension, Extract mode, Terrain mode, one-pedal driving and the revolutionary CrabWalk mode.
The official launch of the all-new GMC Hummer EV pickup in the Middle East countries is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022, when it will go on sale throughout the brand’s dealer network. Details on market-specific configuration, trim levels and pricing will be released closer to the start of sales.

I wonder what’s hotter the desert out there or the fire this will cause when it catches fire.
I said it yesterday but the front end looks like it ran over a silver Ford EXP and is dragging it along. At 9,100 pounds, a 2,045 pound EXP would be instantly obliterated by this roadway menace.
You can smell the cheap plastic in this thing gotta love that cheap gm quality.
As the owner of many vehicles both GM and other makes…I gotta say Mike is completely clueless. Now my Toyota Tacoma has a cheap plastic interior.
As the owner of many vehicles over the years I can tell you that you are lying and have no idea what you are talking about. If you wanna act like gm hasn’t used cheap crappy plastic interiors then I suggest you look back through articles written here.
Paul I don’t think gm interiors are anything to brag about just saying.
Kudos on the Bad Ass style unveiling with the two models in Star Wars type dirt bike attire. Very cool. Well done. A+
This may be a winner for GM. I pray so.
I currently have a 2018 GMC SLT trim canyon
A 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD pro
These are my two service trucks and I can tell you first hand GMC has better interior by far….I am not an expert on all vehicles, however the fact is these are my vehicles, both vehicles are vary dependable and I as the owner of both I like GMC interior better…the interior is better materials and it’s much quieter it also gets better fuel mileage then my Toyota and they are same model year.
I also have two personal vehicles one 2020 GM product other 2016 Ford Product. So I am not brand loyal.
I don’t understand why some people go on certain sites just to troll and put down that particular make.
I don’t understand why people get so upset over what someone else says about a dang car. I mean it’s just a vehicle man it’s not that serious.
