The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is set to introduce a mid-cycle update complete with a long list of changes, including a revised taillight design. Although GM has yet to formally unveil the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade, GM Authority has been following the model’s development for quite some time now, providing in-depth analysis of what the full-size luxury SUV will bring to the table, as well as spy photos showcasing the new styling. Now, we’re diving in with a comparison of the taillight designs between the refreshed 2025 Escalade and the pre-refresh Escalade, shedding light on a few subtle changes.
One of the Escalade’s signature styling elements is a vertical taillight layout, and as one might expect, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade won’t break from tradition in that regard. As is also the case for the pre-refresh model, the taillights on the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade extend the height of the rear hatch, with the shape of the housings and the kink around the hatch line being identical between the pre-refreshed model and the upcoming 2025 refresh.
Inside the housings, both the 2025 Escalade and the pre-refresh Escalade feature three distinct elements. The 2025 Escalade refresh, however, will incorporate a slightly cleaner look of the graphic within the housing thanks to the elimination of the horizontal slats present in the pre-refresh version.
Additionally, the new design eschews the prominent red corner marker seen on the older model, enhancing the sleek look even further.
Looking ahead, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is anticipated to introduce several other enhancements beyond just the taillights, such as updated front and rear fascias and new wheel designs. An overhaul for the interior is also expected, featuring a new, full-width digital display that spans from one A-pillar to the other. The updated Escalade will also include a high-speed 5G connection, a notable upgrade over the existing 4G network for enhanced in-vehicle connectivity infotainment features.
Under the hood, the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine replace the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel offered currently. The standard 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine will carryover unchanged.
As always, we’ll be there to bring you all the latest on the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade, so make sure to subscribe to GM Authority for Cadillac Escalade news, Cadillac news, GM design news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

The old taillights looked better in my opinion.
Agreed.
Not long ago I came up behind a brand new Range Rover. Not sure which model and don’t really care. But it had (has) the taillights that should be on this thing instead of the clown show taillights the Escalade has now. The ones on the Range Rover are elegant and really look like what you would expect on a real Cadillac. Not this warmed over Tahoe.
At least the Escalade will last more than 6 months before it turns into a Lemon. It’s just plain stupid to drive off the lot in a new Ranger Rover or Jaguar product…EVERYBODY knows that!!!!!
Did they get rid of the Amber turn signals the current 21-24 Escalade has?
And what’s wrong with them ?
IMO the Tahoe/Suburban is the best looking of the GM triplets.
How much sticker price?
Every owner of a GMC SUV product that is NOT an Escalade loves the Escalade tail lights.
That is why I see those tail lights added to Tahos, Denalis, Suburbans, Gen 2 Escalades.
It’s crazy!
Lord I hope they bring back the column shifter! That console shifter is quite the eye sore!
How about some info on the super charged motors for the Escalade
Why would anyone want the column shifter back? This generation finally got updated and eliminated that outdated column shifter and now some people claim it takes up too much space. IMO the console shifter is much more modern and besides does anyone need anymore space in that unbelievable massive console, just a reality!
It makes one feel like a man when shifting they said
They started putting them there in cars because it was the easiest way to have both manual and automatic transmissions. Without a manual option there is no reason to have it there. A simple mechanical column shifter will be more reliable than any other system you can come up with.
Escalade convertible please with coach doors. sweeeeet!
