2025 Cadillac Escalade Refresh Shows Escalade IQ-Inspired Front Fascia

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade will introduce a model refresh complete with a long list of updates and changes, including new exterior styling. Now, we’re getting an early look at the refreshed Escalade’s new face thanks to the following spy photos.

As we can see, this 2025 Cadillac Escalade prototype is covered in camouflage to obscure the new fascia design. Nevertheless, it’s obvious that the refreshed Escalade will take several styling cues from the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ.

The lighting details in particular appear to draw from the front end of the Escalade IQ, with both models showing tall, vertical lighting signatures on either side of the front fascia. The vertical lights are topped by horizontal lighting signatures that fall just below the hood line, while the slim, lower air intake is also somewhat familiar. To note, this particular prototype is an example of the extended-length Escalade ESV body style.

Naturally, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade will present a larger, deeper opening higher in the fascia to let in plenty of fresh air for the internal combustion engine under the hood, as compared to the flush, blocked-off fascia equipped by the Cadillac Escalade IQ. Nevertheless, the styling similarities between the two designs are more than obvious.

Also of note on the ICE-powered 2025 Cadillac Escalade exterior is the camo-covered comms antenna on the roof above the driver. As GM Authority covered previously, the refreshed Escalade will offer a high-speed 5G connection.

Further updates will be found in the cabin with a pillar-to-pillar / coast-to-coast, full-width digital display, as GM Authority was the first to report back in June. The new display will be somewhat similar to that of the Cadillac Celestiq ultra-luxury sedan. Improvements to the seating materials and other in-vehicle tech features are also expected.

As for the greasy bits, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade powertrain lineup will be updated with a new diesel engine option, specifically the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, which will replace the 3.0L I6 LM2 offered previously.

  1. Hey Jonathan, is there any potential that these SUVs were delayed in order to receive the all new V8 that GM is working on?

  2. I am also wondering if the SUV’s will be getting the new V8’s??

They need to have them. Current “LT” motors have been around since 2014! SMFH

      1. @ lol

You obviously don’t read for comprehension. The current “LT” motors were all new in 2014. They took over for the “LS” motors that were around since 1999!!!

Yes all of these motors are in some way related to the small block motors from early decades, but you missed the point I was stating.

GM needs to bring the new V8’s out ASAP!!!

  3. Probably delayed so they could get the Duramax LZ0 to fit better on certain GM SUV trims.

  4. Is there a possibility that the delay in these SUVs is related to the incorporation of the new V8 that GM is currently developer.

  7. I feel the front end once it premiers will get a lot of mixed reviews similar to the C6 when everyone found out it wouldn’t have pop-up headlights and a different front end/nose.

I love the idea of Slimline headlights, but the turn signal should’ve stayed there instead of moving above it just to be “sequential like every one else/toyota”
