Acura has confirmed the forthcoming arrival of the 2025 Acura ADX, a new player in the luxury subcompact crossover segment set to debut during the early months of the 2025 calendar year. The new ADX will slot below the compact RDX, and aims to offer a blend of luxury and affordability for “young premium buyers.” When it launches, the 2025 Acura ADX will rival the Cadillac XT4.
“The 2025 Acura ADX will add a fourth SUV to our lineup and a new gateway model ready to build on the incredible success of Integra, helping make Acura a destination brand for a new generation of buyers,” said the assistant vice president of Acura National Sales, Emile Korkor. “With the first-ever ADX and all-electric ZDX, the Acura lineup will have SUVs covered from A to Z.”
In terms of pricing, the Acura ADX is expected to slot in between the Buick Encore GX (starting at $25,600) and the Cadillac XT4 (starting at $37,895), potentially attracting buyers seeking a premium vehicle experience at a more accessible price point. The ADX is also expected to share its underpinnings with the Honda HR-V, but with a turbocharged powerplant under the hood, likely leveraging the automaker’s turbo 1.5L four-cylinder currently cradled by the Acura Integra and Honda Civic Si.
As a reminder, the Cadillac XT4 was refreshed for the 2024 model year, introducing a new front end, an overhauled interior, and new tech items as well. XT4 customers were also given three new exterior paint options, specifically Emerald Lake Metallic, Midnight Sky Metallic, and Deep Sea Metallic. Under the hood, the Cadillac XT4 features the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission is onboard for the cog swaps. The GM E2 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City.
