The 2024 GMC Acadia rolls out the crossover’s third generation with a lineup of updates and changes, most visibly including an all-new greenhouse with connected daylight openings as part of its overhauled exterior styling. The vehicle also sports bigger, full-size dimensions.
However, GM Authority has learned that certain units of the 2024 GMC Acadia crossover have been built without the heated wiper park feature (RPO code CMO). Acadia models will continue to be built without it as it is currently under constraint.
The heated wiper park feature is normally optional on the GMC Acadia’s Elevation and AT4 trim levels. It is included as part of the Luxury Package (RPO code WPL), which is priced at $900 on the Elevation and $1,100 on the AT4 trim. The feature is equipped as standard fare on the range-topping Denali trim.
Affected units produced without the feature will be indicated as such by being tagged with the special RPO code R6G on their window sticker. At this point in time, it is unclear when the constraint on the heated wiper park will be lifted, but the 2024 GMC Acadia crossover affected by the constraint will be eligible for a retrofit in the future.
The heated wipers were introduced in the 2024 model year as it debuted the Acadia’s third generation. The system uses a defroster in the base of the windshield to warm the wipers while they are in the “parked” position and thus ensure they don’t freeze in place during cold weather.
As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Acadia is motivated by a single powerplant option, specifically the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine. This engine produces 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The GM eight-speed automatic transmission provides gear swaps.
The Acadia’s 2024 model year uses the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform for structure, which now features the GM Global B electrical architecture. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

I wish you just brought the dang thing to market 🥺 been waiting to test drive one. The fact that you putting a 4 cyl engine in a full size SUV worries me. Currently own a 2017 Acadia.
