Chevy Blazer Inventory Improving Again In September 2023

Inventory levels of the Chevy Blazer across the U.S. improved once more as of the beginning of September 2023, sources close to the matter tell GM Authority.

As of early September 2023, the Bow Tie brand’s midsize crossover was running at a 29 days supply, meaning there is sufficient Blazer inventory in dealerships to last roughly 29 days at the current sales pace. For reference, the industry average is typically a 60 days supply.

It’s worth noting that there were approximately 4,300 units of the Blazer at dealership lots in early August 2023, with another 2,700 en route for a corresponding days supply figure of 20.

Before the growth from August 2023 to September 2023, inventory levels of the crossover had been gradually improving. In fact, there were 3,800 units of the Blazer on the ground at dealerships as of early July 2023 for a 19 days supply. Then, there were 2,800 units on dealer lots in June 2023, with an additional 3,700 en route for a 15 days supply. Finally, the midsize crossover boasted a 15 days supply in May 2023 as well, with 3,300 units on the ground and another 2,600 in transit.

As far as sales figures are concerned, the Chevy Blazer saw a marked jump in sales despite the lower inventory levels over the course of Q2 2023.

In the United States, Chevrolet Blazer deliveries totaled 18,080 units in Q2 2023, an increase of about 26 percent compared to 14,296 units sold in Q2 2022.

In the first six months of the year, Blazer sales increased about 1 percent to 33,343 units.

In regard to the current model, the 2023 model year was headlined by a mid-cycle refresh that featured revised front and rear fascias, new wheel designs, and new colors. On the inside, there were new colorways available as well, along with new tech features that include an optional wireless charging pad and the standard Chevy Safety Assist package.

Under the hood, the 2024 Blazer is offered with two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

As for structure, the Blazer rides on the GM C1 platform. Production of the 2024 model year commenced on July 10th, 2023 at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

  2. Wrong – the Blazer is one of the more popular and good-looking vehicles on the market. I had a 2020 RS AWD and received lots of compliments on my $50K Blazer. I never had any issues or problems during my 3-year lease. The Blazer looks much better than many of the SUV’s on the road.
    The only reason I am not driving it now is the lease was up and I decided to get another AWD vehicle, the Cadillac CT5V.

  3. Wonder if Blazer or Equinox EV will ever out from in back of the glass? Shame the thing is supposed to be delivered soon yet at the Detroit Auto show you can’t even sit in one. Ahh well.

  4. Have a 2020 Blazer RS. Excellent vehicle in all areas Get lots of compliments on style. Quality is excellent and with 56000 miles on it have had zero issues. Will buy another one before they go all electric.
