Chevy Blazer Inventory Low In May 2023

Inventory levels of the Chevy Blazer across the United States were low in the beginning of May 2023, GM Authority sources familiar with the matter tell us.

There were approximately 3,300 units of the Chevy Blazer on the ground at dealerships as of May 1st, 2023, with another 2,600 in transit. This gives the Blazer a 15 days supply, meaning there is sufficient Blazer inventory in dealerships to last roughly 15 days at the current sales pace. For reference, the industry average is typically a 60 days supply. This figure is marked decrease as compared to March 2023, where the Bow Tie brand’s crossover had a 23 days supply.

In fact, as a whole, Chevy Blazer inventory levels in May 2023 are notably down as compared to other months so far this calendar year. In fact, in February 2023, there were 4,700 units at dealerships, and an additional 2,000 in transit, resulting in a 23 days supply. Additionally, January 2023 posted a 17 days supply figure of the Bow Tie brand’s midsize crossover.

In regard to sales figures, the Chevy Blazer had a rough going in Q1 2023, as figures fell by a significant amount from the same timeframe a year prior.

In the United States, Chevrolet Blazer deliveries totaled 15,263 units in Q1 2023, a decrease of about 19 percent compared to 18,808 units sold in Q1 2022.

In regard to the current 2023 model year, the Chevy Blazer received a mid-cycle refresh that introduces front and rear fascia revisions, new wheel designs, and new colors. On the interior, there are new colorways, as well as new tech features that include an optional wireless charging pad and the standard Chevy Safety Assist package.

Under the hood, the 2023 Chevy Blazer is available with two engine options, which includes the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as well as the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

Under the skin, the Blazer rides on the GM C1 platform. Production of the 2023 model kicked off on July 11th, 2022 at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

  1. I never see many of these on the road but I (unfortunately) live in Fancy Import SUV crazed zip code so I have no doubt it’s different elsewhere.
    If I was in the market for this type of vehicle I would definitely consider it. It’s tough to make an SUV look sporty but GM did a great job with this one. The RS trim looks very good in my Overly harsh opinion. Lol

  2. I don’t know- kinda on the fence on this vehicle because of the gas mileage= 22/29. It’s not only because gas is so high today but other vehicles (including GM) do so much better.

    1. I have gotten 30.1 mpg on the highway. I have the 2.0L Turbo and I drive like a normal person should.

  3. I havent seen many of these on the road . Is demand on them low? Ive seen more Trax than blazers to quite frank. I know the blazer has more offer but i think trax is going eat lot of its sales just on price difference and look

    1. The Trax has a lot of bang for the buck. Buy it early! Because GM will start raising the price. They always do!
