Chevy Blazer Inventory Still Very Low In June 2023

Inventory levels across the U.S. of the Chevy Blazer remained low in the beginning of June 2023, sources close to the matter tell GM Authority.

There were approximately 2,800 units of the Chevy Blazer on the ground at dealerships as of June 1st, 2023, with another 3,700 en route. This gives the Blazer a 15 days supply, meaning there is sufficient Blazer inventory in dealerships to last roughly 15 days at the current sales pace. For reference, the industry average is typically a 60 days supply.

It’s worth noting that this days supply figure is the same as May 2023 numbers, where the Bow Tie brand’s crossover had similar inventory levels.

That being said, Blazer inventory levels the past few months are notably down as compared to other months so far this calendar year. In fact, in March 2023, there were 3,500 units at dealerships, and an additional 2,300 in transit, resulting in a 23 days supply. Additionally, February 2023 also posted a 23 days supply figure of the Bow Tie brand’s midsize crossover.

When taking a peak at sales figures, the Blazer had a hard time in Q1 2023, which is likely a result of decreased inventory levels.

Chevrolet Blazer Sales - Q1 2023 - United States

In the United States, Chevrolet Blazer deliveries totaled 15,263 units in Q1 2023, a decrease of about 19 percent compared to 18,808 units sold in Q1 2022.

As far as the current model is concerned, the 2023 Chevy Blazer features a mid-cycle refresh that introduces front and rear fascia revisions, new wheel designs, and new colors. On the interior, there are new colorways, as well as new tech features that include an optional wireless charging pad and the standard Chevy Safety Assist package.

Under the hood, the 2023 Blazer is available with two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, as well as the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

As for structure, the Blazer rides on the GM C1 platform. Production of the current model kicked off on July 11th, 2022 at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

  1. Where are the E.V. vehicles you promised???? Equinox & Blazers?????
Thousands/Millions are waiting for an North American supplier like GM.
Your delay will COST you millions of sales to your competitors, who will increase their presence in 2024/2025.

  2. Just purchased a ‘23 Blazer Premier AWD V6 replacing a ‘17 Equinox Premier AWD V6. I have to say the new Blazer is a significantly better handling vehicle especially on the highway vs the ‘17 Equinox. The Blazer’s 6” wider track and slightly lower vehicle height makes a huge difference in handling especially on windy days and freeway traffic. Both vehicles have the 3.6 V6 engine but the Blazer gets a few stars by having both better performance and better fuel economy. Only one complaint. Unlike the ‘17 Equinox Premier, Chevrolet did not offer a passenger power lumbar seat on the ‘23 Blazer Premier. That’s a creature comfort red flag for us seniors with back problems especially on long road trips. See you out there!

  3. For automated drive thru car wash users; Power Folding Side View Mirrors are not available on Chevrolet Blazer. Outside mirrors are power adjustable but not power folding? That was a surprise. Should be standard on a $50k + vehicle.

  4. Part of the problem seems to be GM’s logistics out of Ramos. We’ve been waiting for a Blazer that was produced in February that still hasn’t shipped.
