GMC was at the top of the list in average transaction prices for the full-size pickup segment during the second quarter of the 2023 calendar year. The GMC Hummer EV Pickup was the leader at $99,320, followed by the GMC Sierra at $71,924. The Ram 1500 rounds out the top three at $68,273.
Notably, Ram ATP figures only include the light-duty Ram 1500 and not the heavy-duty Ram HD. Thus, Ram’s ATP figures would likely be a little higher if they did include numbers for the Ram HD.
The next three models in the list include the Ford F-Series at $66,013, the Toyota Tundra at $63,232, and the Chevy Silverado at $59,588. It should also be mentioned that Toyota’s reporting is one quarter behind the rest of the automakers listed here, and thus the ATP figure listed for the Toyota Tundra pertains to Q1 of the 2023 calendar year, while the rest of the ATP figures listed pertain to Q2 of 2023.
Although the ATP figure for the GMC Sierra is in second-place on this list, the pickup’s ATP figure for Q2 of 2023 is actually down slightly compared to the ATP figure recorded for Q4 of 2022. As GM Authority covered previously, the ATP for the GMC Sierra during Q4 of 2022 was $72,006, which means the ATP figure of $71,924 recorded for Q2 of 2023 is a decrease of $82 (0.11 percent) when comparing the two quarters.
Additionally, the ATP figure for the Ram 1500 was up significantly for Q2 of 2023 compared to Q4 of 2022. The Ram 1500 recorded an ATP of $63,363 in Q4 of 2022, which makes the ATP figure of $68,273 recorded for Q2 of 2023 an increase of $4,910 (7.75 percent) compared to Q4 of 2022.
Looking over GMC’s sales results for Q2 of 2023, we find the GMC Sierra had the highest total volume at 75,810 units, followed by the GMC Acadia 24,205 units and GMC Yukon at 22,269 units. Although the GMC Hummer EV Pickup topped the list in terms of ATP, sales volume for the quarter was the lowest of the GMC lineup at 47 units.

I believe it. Just last night I stopped at GMC dealer to check out a new RCSB Sierra. They makes it the ‘cheap’ model PRO with a 4 cylinder. No rug and it looked like vinyl seats? $45k! It was a 4×4. Too expensive for my taste.
Unfortunately you need to go to Ford for a rcsb worth owning 5.0 in rcsb is going to be a mid 13 second ride with some good snarl. It’s a tune and premium fuel away from a 12 second truck.
Neither has a ton of options but Ford allows more im rcsb.
GMCs weren’t usually a lot more, certainly not more than the competition they just only sell SLT / AT4 and Denali driving the ATP up.
That’s why I buy Chevy. Not enough difference to justifly higher price on GMC.
The old saying was “…a GMC is just a Chevy with “lock-washers”.
Working folks are priced out of the equation.
GMC Greater made Chevy
“GMC was at the top of the list in average transaction prices for the full-size pickup segment…”
