2024 Corvette E-Ray To Introduce Three New Paint Colors

Last week, GM Authority obtained leaked photos of the 2024 Corvette E-Ray that uncovered several exterior and interior details regarding the upcoming C8 variant. Among this information was the reveal of three new paint colors for the 2024 Corvette.

Riptide Blue Metallic, Cacti and Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat are the new paint colors for the 2024 C8 Corvette E-Ray, while in total, 13 exterior hues and 10 interior colorways were leaked:

2024 Corvette E-Ray Exterior Shades:

  • Hypersonic Gray
  • Amplify Orange Tint
  • Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat
  • Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic
  • Torch Red
  • Silver Flare Metallic
  • Black

  • Sea Wolf Gray Tri-coat (new for 2024)

2024 Corvette E-Ray Interior Colorways:

  • jet Black with Red Stitching
  • Sky Cool Grey
  • Adrenaline Red
  • Adrenaline Red Dipped
  • Natural
  • Natural Dipped
  • Two-tone Blue
  • Artemis (replaces 70th Anniversary’s Ceramic colorway)

It’s worth noting that these three new colors will likely replace Caffeine Metallic (color code G48), Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic (GS7), and White Pearl Metallic Tricoat (G1W).

As a reminder, the upcoming Corvette hybrid will featured the same 6.2L LT2 V8 currently found in the C8 Stingray, with a supplemental, independently controlled electric motor up front. The LT2 V8 produces 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque in standard specification, while the electric motor is expected to deliver around 100 horsepower. This would bring the E-Ray’s total output to roughly 600 horsepower, slotting it between the entry-level C8 Stingray, yet below the high-performance C8 Z06. In addition, the E-Ray will serve as the first AWD Corvette, as well as the first hybrid variant.

Besides the powertrain, the C8 E-Ray will feature the same widebody treatment as the C8 Z06. This, coupled with the positioning within the Corvette lineup, alludes that the E-Ray will be marketed in a similar fashion to that of the C7 Grand Sport.

  1. See what they did here, the LT2 can be boosted up to a ton more power. The motors on the front wheels can be used to torque vector. I would have put 75HP motors at the hubs, but thats me. This will wind up being a track monster! The extra weight/traction up front with the HP at the front wheels…..OH, gives me chills! Lets see what this evolves into.. GO GM!

  2. Just great, more GM hype about EV’s…what about the long wait list on the Z06. When is that production going to ramp up? On a plant tour a few weeks back, they were only building 1 Z06 per 94 car shift..2. a. Day ????.

  3. I don’t get it. They are discussing new colors for the E Ray (not in production) when they can’t even supply the Z06 to people standing around with $, waiting to buy one. Ridiculous!

  4. I like the new colors, and am definitely glad that they are keeping accelerate yellow.

  5. Finally, a green! But no, after looking at it on other GM products, if you were expecting a 2014 shade of Lime Rock Green or a Polo Green from the C4 generation, you’re gonna be disappointed. This is more an earth-tone green, much like that green/gray hue found on the Ford Ranger or Maverick.

Come on, let’s get back to the beloved pastels of the C2-C3 generation, GM! LeMans/Mulsanne Blue; British Racing Green, Steel Cities Gray, Cortez Silver. Goodwood green.

I will never accept an electric vehicle…especially since I live in NORTH EAST ..WHERE WE JUST RECEIVED NEARLY 7 FT SNOW IN ONE DUMP!

      1. Not quite sure why snow stops an electric car from driving.
But if you can find an ICE vehicle that can magically drive through 7 feet of snow, let me know.

  9. Tint, Tincoat, Tricoat, Flash, Flare, Mist, Amplify, Accelerate, etc. are still just way too many adjectives for a simple paint color.

How about ONE actual COLOR word and ONE adjective for each? TWO words is all you get, GM.

The joke about my Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic C8 convertible is that the paint color name is longer than the car.

The C8 exterior color list is now reading like the menu in an overpriced restaurant: where the food description has enough adjectives to be the actual recipe to cook it!

In a lame attempt to make you feel like it is worth the jacked up price for that $50 hamburger: Made with grass-fed beef. (I love it when my food eats healthier than I do.) Topped with hot- house heritage tomatoes, Maui Vidalia sweet onions, stone ground Napa mustard seed, served on a hand-kneaded brioche bun covered with organic Sub Saharan Africa sesame seeds.

    1. GM can have as many adjectives as they want, because they are a very loyal company, soooooooooooo

      1. Loyal my A$$ still remember the bent wheel issue on the wide body C7 wheels. Had 3 bent, and it happened at prime time when the failures depleted OEM stock…Class action lawsuit…I may as well wait for hell to freeze over before Mary Barra admits there was a problem..My GS sat in dealers’ garage bay ..undriveable ,for 5 weeks…was smart enough to pay a hefty price for mono forged wheels..best thing I ever did. Forgelines …and not a problem since!

        2. Hello Joe,
When the issue like this presents itself, seek legal counsel right away. For one, as a legal strategist I can tell this problem would have fallen under the term “ To much down time” meaning the vehicle was in the possession of the manufacturer/dealership than in the hands of the purchaser, in short you would have ended up with your money back, or a new deal. Hope this helps you my friend…take care.
