The 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will be available to order with an optional Maverick Noir Frost exterior paint color.
This new exterior paint color will replace Dark Emerald Frost in the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing order book. Dark Emerald Frost, as many readers will already know, was a limited-edition matte green hue that added $3,925 to the high-performance sedan’s price tag.
We expect Maverick Noir Frost to be a matte black or very dark grey, seeing as “noir” is French for black, and to carry a similarly high price tag to Dark Emerald Frost. This new color will carry GM paint code GNW and will not be available to order on the run-of-the-mill CT5-V – only the ultra-performance CT5-V Blackwing. Photos of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in Maverick Noir Frost are not yet available.
Maverick Noir Frost will be available with the following interior color options on the CT5-V Blackwing: Jet Black with Jet Black Accents, Natural Tan with Jet Black Accents and Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents.
The Dark Emerald Frost exterior color requires special care due to its satin finish and we expect this will also be the case with the matte Maverick Noir Frost color. Dealers are advised to go over the paint care guidelines for buyers of CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing models finished in Dark Emerald Frost when they take delivery at the dealership. These guidelines include advising owners to lightly wipe the surface of the vehicle when washing it, as rubbing it can damage the paint, and to only use regular auto wash soap on the exterior. The vehicle should also never be taken through an automatic car wash.
The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, rated at 668 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 659 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. Output is routed exclusively to the rear wheels by way of either the standard GM six-speed manual transmission, or the optional GM 10-speed automatic. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan.

This is my third CTS V and I ordered mine 10 months ago and they just told me no longer using the satin steel metallic. We cannot even see samples of the new colors. This is being handled very poorly.
Looks like yet another shade of grey.
