The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will be available to order with a new Maverick Noir Frost exterior paint color.
This new paint option will replace Dark Emerald Frost on the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing color palette – a limited-edition matte green hue that added $3,925 to the high-performance sedan’s price tag. We expect Maverick Noir Frost to be a matte black or very dark grey, seeing as “noir” is French for black, and to carry a similar price tag to Dark Emerald Frost. This new color will carry GM paint code GNW and will not be available to order on the regular CT4-V – only the Blackwing. Photos of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in Maverick Noir Frost were not available at the time of publication.
Maverick Noir Frost will be available with the following interior color options on the CT4-V Blackwing: Jet Black with Jet Black Accents, Natural Tan with Jet Black Accents, Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents. It will not be available to order with Sangria with Jet Black Accents interior.
The Dark Emerald Frost exterior color, which was also offered on the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, requires special care due to its satin finish. GM advises owners to only lightly wipe the surface of the vehicle when washing it, as rubbing the finish more aggressively will create bright spots in the paint that will give it an uneven appearance. The automaker also says liquid car wash soap is the only product that should be used to clean the exterior and the vehicle should never be taken through an automatic car wash.
A delivery packet for the Dark Emerald Frost paint was sent out to GM dealers when the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing launched last year, which included instructions for the pre-delivery inspection process, paint care tips and an official Customer Care Guide. Dealers are also advised to go over the paint care guidelines for the vehicle with the customer when they take delivery. We expect all these same care and maintenance tips to apply to the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing with the new Maverick Noir Frost paint, as it will feature the same satin finish.
Under the hood, the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing features the twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. It rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

This is one of those trends that mystifies me. Why would you spend this much money on a vehicle and the extra money for special paint, when it looks like a ten year old car that has spent its life sitting out in the Arizona sun. It looks like a car that has never seen any care, yet it obviously is going to need special attention to keep it looking this lousy. As a resident of Tucson, I go to great lengths to make sure the paint on my vehicles doesn’t look this flat. What’s next? Paying extra for a primer gray finish?
Exactly……..
You know something. Here in Sacramento Area I have not seen 1 CT4-V Blackwing for sale. When I look for one on Cars.com the the Dealer up charge can be any where from $5k to $10K. What’s the use. I’ll jerk my 2016 ATS-V coupe I guess . They don’t want to sell cars. I would just love to see one up close and personal. This car market is just a big joke. The fun of buying a new car is gone.
