A dealership in Lubbock, Texas currently has a 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in stock that’s finished in the Dark Emerald Frost color, allowing us to get a better look at this seldom-seen matte exterior finish.
Dark Emerald Frost is an optional Cadillac exterior color offered only on the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing. Some readers may remember it as Dark Emerald Matte, which was the initial name of the color announced by General Motors before later renaming it Dark Emerald Frost. This is a rather pricey optional exterior color, adding $3,925 to the vehicle’s price tag. It’s also currently unavailable to order and it’s not clear if it will return to either the CT4-V Blackwing or CT5-V Blackwing for the 2023 model year.
This particular Dark Emerald Frost-painted 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing features both the Carbon Fiber 1 and Carbon Fiber 2 aerodynamics packages. The Carbon Fiber 1 package adds a carbon fiber front splitter, dive planes and wheel well deflectors, all of which can be seen in the above front three-quarters shot. This package also brings an extra aero rear spoiler, which takes the form of a tall blade spoiler that contours with the sedan’s trunk shape.
The Carbon Fiber 2 package, meanwhile, adds carbon fiber rocker moldings, rocker extensions and a rear valance diffuser insert, which can be seen in the side angle shot and rear three quarters shot above and below.
Other options on this car include the Natural Tan with Jet Black Accents leather interior (pictured below), Performance Data and Video Recorder, Sunroof and the Driver Assist Package. It retails for $85,350, including $25,360 worth of options and a $995 destination freight charge. That’s a lot of money for a compact performance sedan, but there’s no denying the CT4-V Blackwing is a special vehicle – particularly in this rare matte green exterior finish.
