2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Gets Enclosed Shipping Carrier Option

Customers that want to ensure the best possible care for their new 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing right from the factory can now opt for the enclosed shipping carrier option.

GM Authority has confirmed with Cadillac that an enclosed shipping will be an option for units of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing when transported from the plant to their respective dealerships. The option will include a “standard” transport truck, but rather than transporting the vehicle out in the open, the vehicle will be enclosed.

The enclosed shipping carrier option for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is tagged with RPO code XES. Pricing will vary depending on the distance between the destination dealer and the factory. To note, the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is also available with the enclosed shipping carrier option, as GM Authority exclusively reported previously.

With regard to the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing specifically, the high-performance sedan introduces just a few changes and updates for the 2023 model year, including the deletion of four specific exterior paint options, with Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, Infrared Tintcoat, and Dark Emerald Frost all deleted from the lineup. These four exterior paint options will be replaced with four new hues, including Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, Midnight Steel Metallic, and Maverick Noir Frost, the latter of which has limited availability and a matte finish, offered as a replacement for the outgoing Dark Emerald Frost color.

As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, which produces a maximum of 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. All that muscle is sent to the rear axle by way of either the six-speed manual transmission, or the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Providing the bones is the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan.

  1. Ridiculous. I’ve shipped numerous $100k BMWs with open transport. Chevy ships the Corvette in the open. This is a huge waste of money.

    1. They’re pretending it’s something it’s not because it’s cheaper and easier than making it that something. That’s how Cadillac rolls.
