2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Loses These Four Paint Colors

The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will not be available with four exterior colors that were offered on the performance sedan for the 2022 model year, GM Authority has learned.

The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will drop the following four paint colors after the 2022 model year (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Satin Steel Metallic (G9K)
  • Shadow Metallic (GJI)
  • Infrared Tintcoat (GSK)
  • Dark Emerald Frost (G7W)

While four paint colors will be dropped from the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing order books, the performance sedan will also add four new ones. These will include the following (all premium paint options available at extra charge):

  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
  • Midnight Steel Metallic (GXU)
  • Maverick Noir Frost (GNW, limited availability)

As GM Authority reported previously, Maverick Noir Frost is the new matte exterior color for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, replacing the outgoing Dark Emerald Frost. These matte exterior colors are typically quite pricy, with Dark Emerald Frost adding $3,925 to the vehicle’s price tag, and also require some special care when washing the vehicle.

The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will be mechanically identical to the 2022 model year, featuring the same twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The performance four-door rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan alongside the standard Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT4-V, along with the Cadillac CT5 and CT5-V, Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and Chevy Camaro sports coupe.

GM Authority will have more details on the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing once they are officially released by GM. In the meantime, be sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing news, Cadillac Blackwing news, Cadillac news and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

  1. Cadillac says, “Get rid of our red color”. Okay, what should we replace it with? Well, buyers really like red, so replace it with red.
