As GM Authority was the first to report, General Motors is poised to launch the new Cadillac Escalade-V, a high-performance variant of the popular luxury SUV nameplate. Now, GM Authority has learned that the new Escalade-V will in fact benefit the upcoming 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport refresh.
Let’s start with the basics. As GM Authority reported in the summer of 2019 and revealed by General Motors in January of this year, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will introduce a next-level performance model to the Escalade lineup, offering up the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine (also found in the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, third-gen Cadillac CTS-V, and other GM performance models) to produce at least 640 horsepower. Output will be routed through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, while upgraded braking and special Magnetic Ride Control suspension will keep it shiny side up.
Critically, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will also feature more-aggressive styling, including a new front bumper, unique multi-spoke wheels, and quad exhaust tips mounted in a diffuser-esque rear bumper treatment.
Following the debut of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, the 2024 model year will usher in a model refresh for the luxury nameplate, which is where we get to the benefits. According to GM Authority sources, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport will adopt new styling elements, adding a more aggressive front bumper and rear diffuser treatment that will be similar, if not identical, to that of the Escalade-V.
However, although the refreshed 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport will have a similar look as that of the Escalade-V, the Sport will continue to feature a standard exhaust, standard wheels, and less robust brakes as compared to the high-performance trim. What’s more, the Sport will not offer the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine.
We’ll have plenty more to say about the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V and the refreshed 2024 Escalade Sport set to follow, so stay tuned. In the meantime, make sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac Escalade news, Cadillac news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

I like the way the current Sport model looks. Don’t think it will be a good idea for the refreshed Sport looks like a V Escalade. Nothing wrong for the Sport to look sporty and refined at the same time while the V- has it own looks. But we’ll see.
that seems goofy as hell in my opinion
Nice, if they make the ESV I might just spring for one.
They are making an ESV model of the V. You can read it here

6.6 replacing the 6.2 or becoming available alongside it? GM will need something to compete with this mysterious 6.8 v8 ford was working on.
The 6.6 is an iron block non-performance engine.
I’m thinking that the 6.8 V8 is only going to be for the Mustang or the 6.8 V8 could be for the Mustang GT3
A healthy dose of LT5 will do the trick, 755 horsepower in the C7 ZR1 and there should not be any clearance problems with the bigger blower.
Well yes that would make sense. If it had that engine it could go against the Aston Martin DBX707. But the LT5 is no longer in production
Love my sport! Wouldn’t change anything.
Looking good. Caddy should offer a V-Sport with a detuned 550HP S/C 6.2L V8 to slot between the 420HP Sport model and the 640HP V-Series model.
Furthermore, these sporty editions should have received a wider 2-inch track with muscular fender flares to enhance their street cred like BMW does with the M3 & M4 in particular.
They look great. Lets start building them in quantities. Love the new dark red. Start putting some 3.0 Diesel’s in them. So I can buy one to Tour in.
Currently you can buy an Escalade with a 3.0 Diesel but the Diesel is not going to be available for 23My
Will the Escalade V be available in all wheel drive? If so when do you anticipate I can custom order one?
Yes. The Escalade V is going to be available in all wheel drive. It’s going to be formally revealed on May 11th, 2022
No such thing as a front/rear BUMPER.. The proper description is: Front/Rear FASCIA!
Literally copying the BMW playbook, releasing Sport models sporting the M badge and M aero kit without the M performance.
When will the new 2025 be available.
I really don’t like the look of the 2020 – 2024 over the 2019.
I’m in my fourth Escalade and was hoping for
the change look of the 2025, l’m disappointed that I have to wait until next year for my # 5.
Well yes that would make sense. If it had that engine it could go against the Aston Martin DBX707. But the LT5 is no longer in production
