Cadillac InnerSpace Concept Revealed At CES 2022

As expected, General Motors has pulled the covers on a new fully autonomous vehicle concept in conjunction with the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The new AV is dubbed the Cadillac InnerSpace, and it features a luxurious cabin for two that’s dripping with cutting-edge technology features, as well as a fully electric powertrain for motivation.

Outside, we find the Cadillac InnerSpace features a stunning exterior design, with a low-slung stance and elongated body. The roof opens with the doors for easier access, while a set of pivoting seats meet passengers. Inside, the materials appear to be top-shelf, while the layout is spacious and clean, with maximum interior roof provided by the low-mounted battery pack.

Panoramic glass gives passengers ample views of the surrounding environment, while onboard tech features are available via a panoramic SMD LED display. The Cadillac InnerSpace also runs silent Goodyear tires with SoundComfort technology for a hushed ride.

Beyond the exterior and interior design, the Cadillac InnerSpace also outlines a wealth of different high-tech features, including “biometric input and AI machine learning.” These technologies offer passengers an individualized and unique experience through software-defined features and vehicle connectivity with GM’s Ultifi software platform, including over-the-air updates.

Passengers can choose between various themes for their in-vehicle experience, such as Augmented Reality Engagement, Entertainment, and Wellness Recovery, with further themes wirelessly available from Cadillac and authorized third parties.

Notably, General Motors is also gearing up to release a new luxury travel concept dubbed “OpenSpace” with a fresh video.

InnerSpace joins two autonomous concepts unveiled previously at CES 2021, including a single-seater flying luxury concept, as well as a luxury EV with space for six.

As for production vehicles, General Motors unveiled Cruise Origin back in 2020, designed as a fully autonomous, all-electric ridesharing vehicle.

        1. Yes, I am a baby boy old man. Why don’t you learn how to write what you’re trying to convey. It’s not over our head. Showing a concept vehicle gains interest and has nothing to do with their plans and roll out for the Celestiq. Companies can walk and chew gum, unlike yourself.

        1. You both are so incredibly dumb, it’s painful. Now the stock is down today, so I guess they don’t know what they are doing, using your logic. What does fluctuating stock prices have to do with my point about Cadillac fulfilling their promises and putting out products people want to actually buy. Also, it’s GM stock, not Cadillac stock. Cadillac is such a relatively small part of the conglomerate, I doubt much of what they are doing affects the stock price one way or the other. It was up solely based on GM’s announcements at CES, and now it’s down again. Morons, but I’ll keep spelling things out for you

  9. Cadillac has become a total joke. None of the options shown in the image above is even remotely serious. And the name InnerSpace? Are they again embarking on another new naming convention? InnerSpace, OuterSpace, MySpace, YourSpace, HappySpace, OfficeSpace?

    It’s downright embarrassing and so sad what’s happened to a once great brand that was synonymous with “the best” in the American mind for a generation.

    2. Cadillac tanked in the ’70s when the V8 became a liability due to the oil embargo. It’s been dying for 50 years. Europeans, Japanese and now Koreans having been stomping on it, all the while the overbearing safety laws have ensured that all vehicles basically look the same. They need to do something to differentiate themselves. While I agree that the helicopter thing is ridiculous and the zamboni/ Cruise Origin should not be branded Cadillac, I think you have to step back and realize that Cadillac is doomed to be sold off to China someday soon unless they reinvent themselves.

GM Missmangment is the Alpha and Omega of the processes of turning Cadillac into a punchline sideshow Joke.

          1. Yeah, I do have A+ reading unlike yourself. Cadillac is all electric by the end of decade. The problem for people like you is that; you don’t read and; Cadillac is passing you by in your old age. They don’t appeal to you, but to an entirely new demographic. You have to face the music that Cadillac will never make a car again that will appeal to you. That’s hard for you to reconcile.

            You know so much about the industry (insert sarcasm here) and business that Cadillac is doomed because they don’t listen to people like yourself.

            Furthermore, mobility is changing and manufacturers are exploring all new types, including air and autonomous. Future generations are not going to demand the same vehicles offered today. Any one who thinks that IS doomed.

            Drone type mobility is already in the works.

  10. Now I hope it´s procuced one day. Cadillac speciality is to produce atractive concepts nobody can buy (Ciel, Sixteen, Escala, etc.). That and nothing, is exactly the same.

  11. Pretty impressive shape, if almost totally impractical (it rains sometime, right?). However I’d like to see more of the car instead of a bunch of undernourished mannequin models. How about in motion, if it isn’t just a pushmobile for car shows. I do like the long, low look compared to current Caddys, which are just chiseled boxes. Cadillac used to have it, it’s needed again. But do something to reshape that grille lighting. It reminds me of a smiling cheshire cat.

  15. Bit disappointed they didn’t show the celestiq. But the design queues give us a good indication of what to expect. Broad stance with wheels at each corner, fast back with full glass roof, huge c pillar with L shape recess for the tail lights. Stretch this over the Escala and I think we have it.

I always had an interest in GM concept/Dream cars going back to the 1950’s,and still do-INTERESTING what’s this thing called “Inner Space” Drive it to New York on Park Ave on any givin’ Friday night at 5 PM and see what it can do. Sorry Mary ,I just can’t get used to plugging in an extension cord. I’ll still be happy with a ’62/’63 Chevy with a 327 or was that a 409 and a 4 speed.
