The 2022 Chevy Traverse introduces a mid-cycle enhancement (otherwise known as a refresh) for the crossover nameplate’s second generation. Now, interested customers and fans can spec the refreshed 2022 Chevy Traverse using the official online configurator.
The Chevy Traverse nameplate was originally slated to receive a mid-cycle enhancement for the 2021 model year. However, as a result of complications stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, the refresh was pushed back to the 2022 model year.
Among the changes and updates is a revised exterior design, with a sharp front fascia that incorporates slim, pointed upper lighting elements with C-shaped lighting signatures, as well as squared lower lighting elements with checkmark-shaped signatures. The grille includes an upper dividing bar that connects the headlamps with a single styling line, while also holding the Chevy Bow Tie badge front and center.
Three new exterior colors are on offer, including Silver Sage Metallic, Northsky Blue Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat. The trio of fresh color options arrive as replacements for three outgoing hues, namely Satin Steel Metallic, Graphite Metallic, and Cajun Red Tintcoat. Five new wheel sets are also on offer, as is a variety of trim and aesthetic upgrades.
Inside, the 2022 Chevy Traverse features the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus audio system, along with available connected navigation and an 8-inch diagonal HD color touchscreen. Buckle to Drive is also standard across the range. The Safety Package includes Rear Park Assist, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Just one engine option is offered, specifically the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, connecting to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Output is routed to the ground through either the front wheels as standard, or all four wheels as an optional upgrade.

I hope they fixed the transmission. My dealer service manager told me they all have the same problem and can’t be fixed.
So, what problem do they have? Our transmission has been absolutely spot on.
2019 It shutters with almost all lower gear changes. Dealer service manager says its normal. also if he put in a new trans that it would still do it. I’m 68 yo and have never had a non gm car but, I think this is my last one. Does anyone know a phone # for a higher up that could get this fixed before the warranty runs out?
Update I took it in again and they fixed the transmission. Working good now.
I was told the same thing about the grinding brakes, and I felt like something was wrong with my transmission as well and still do but they keeping telling me it’s fine.
Where is the loft brown interior for the 2022?
I hope they fixed the brakes grinding issue on a $30,000+ car. This horrible because I really want the 2022.
What’s the price range & are they available now?
MEH – love the car, but the color choices leave much to be desired. Where did the dark blue go ? how about a nice cherry red? dark grey ? looks like we have white, nice white, almost white, black, meh red and purple-ish.
I agree, what happened to the brown/black interior option. All black is not a good option in the southwest.
