Colored seat belts were available as a standalone $395 option on the 2020 Corvette and also return for the 2021 model year. Certain interior colors also come with colored seat belts, like the Natural Dipped Napa leather interior, which automatically adds Tan colored seat belts to the vehicle. Colored seat belts can also be equipped on all trim levels for the 2020 Corvette, including the entry-level 1LT.
GM had originally intended to produce as many as 30,000 examples of the 2020 Corvette, however significant production delays brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic slowed output of the vehicle significantly. It was only able to begin making the hardtop convertible version of the new mid-engine sports car late in the year, as well, result in the low 3,581-unit production number for 2020.
Production of the 2021 Corvette will begin at the GM Bowling Green Assembly plant on December 8th, 2020. Chevy applied some small changes to the vehicle for 2021, including two new exterior colors, Red Mist Tintcoat Metallic and Silver Flare Metallic.

About one-third of 2020 C8 Corvette buyers have opted for colored seat belts; but this can’t come as a surprise as most new car and truck buyers would love the chance to pick out a specific color seat belt for their vehicle.
I’m surprised you didn’t blatantly complain about the negatives: nobody’s going to be able to get orange belts in five years if they have to replace them due to a crash or their dog chewed it up, so they’ll be stuck with a mismatched set. Besides, anything that’s not black gets dirty since you touch the belts every single time you get in.
What are the percentages of the exterior colors?
In site the importance of stock wheels, Corvette misnamed the Spectra Gray machine face 5-spoke Trident wheels by calling them midnight on their statistics. Does it make a lot of common sense to name a wheel with a very lengthy description on the configurator or price tool and in the brochures and literature, and then say that internally they are known as a “mid-night” color? Thus when putting numbers out, come up with a color that provides the owners with numbers put on a certain number of the Corvettes sold. As usual, having a really great color and then coming up with a way to confuse the customer. This appears to be a weakness at GM. Who exactly to attribute this to, I do not know. I’d hazard a guess that it is the “bean counters.” AF
