New 2021 Chevrolet Groove Crossover Arrives In Peru

General Motors has just launched the new 2021 Chevrolet Groove in Peru, which becomes the second market in the world to receive this small crossover from the company. One month after going on sale for the first time in Chile, the Groove arrives in the Peruvian market to strengthen Chevrolet‘s utility portfolio with a unique combination of design, equipment and technology at a very competitive price.

As we have previously reported, the 2021 Chevrolet Groove was conceived to be the most economical crossover in the brand’s history and to be marketed in more than 40 emerging countries in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and other similar regions. In Peru, the new Groove expands the brand’s offering to seven models and is positioned below the Spin Activ, Tracker, Captiva, Traverse, Tahoe and Suburban.

“The 2021 Groove is an all-new model, not only for the region, but also for the world markets. General Motors wants to continue offering our Peruvian customers a truck that brings together everything they are looking for in a compact SUV, which is why we are one of the first countries to officially present the 2021 Groove,” said General Manager of GM Peru, Marco Kohatsu, in a statement. “With this new launch, we have become the brand with one of the most complete portfolios in the country, offering products with excellent features in design, safety and technology,” he added.

The 2021 Chevrolet Groove range in the Peruvian market is made up of LT and Premier trim levels, exactly as it was announced during its official debut in South America last October. Both finishes feature the naturally aspirated 1.5L four-cylinder engine that generates 110 horsepower and 108 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed manual transmission.

The 2021 Chevrolet Groove goes on sale this week throughout the Chevrolet dealership network in Peru, where it seeks to satisfy customer demand for entry-level urban crossovers. In that country, it is offered in four body colors: Red, Blue, Gray and White. The suggested prices of the two versions of the 2021 Groove in the Peruvian market are as follows:

  1. GM once sold rebadged Opel’s in Latam. Now China fills the void with three benefit of slave labor.
How will Fiat compete? As much as I love 500X for driving like a car this won’t do the job.
Stellantis will need to re-evaluate the region, probably rebadge some Opels, and shut a Brazilian plant.
