2018 Cadillac CTS-V Championship Edition To Be Auctioned In June

The Cadillac DPi-V.R, introduced in 2017, marked the luxury brand’s return to endurance racing after the troubled Cadillac Northstar LMP program wrapped up at the end of 2002. The DPi-V.R was an immediate success, taking seven wins in the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and securing the Manufacturer, Driver, Team and Endurance Championships in the hotly contested series.

To commemorate this achievement, Cadillac released the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Championship Edition and ATS-V Championship Edition, which featured IMSA-inspired decals and other unique equipment to set them apart from standard CTS-V and ATS-V models.

Now, a Cadillac CTS-V Championship Edition is being offered for sale through Premier Auction Group, giving Cadillac Racing fans the rare opportunity to own one of these limited-production luxury sedans.

The Cadillac CTS-V Championship Edition was available in either the Black Raven or Crystal White Tricoat exterior colors and featured Cadillac V-Performance graphics on the hood and rear spoiler, Red Obsession painted side-view mirror caps, a small DPi-V.R silhouette graphic on the rear quarter windows and forged alloy V-Series wheels with Midnight Silver painted pockets. The interior, meanwhile, featured Jet Black Recaro performance seats, Morello Red accents and high gloss carbon-fiber trim.

The example being offered by Premier Auction Group is a Crystal White Tricoat model. It has 13,000 miles on the odometer and looks showroom new, based on the photos. Cadillac built just 200 examples of the Cadillac CTS-V Championship Edition, so seeing one of these come up for sale is certainly not common.
