Finally, after a year of spy shots, videos and information, we have a pretty good idea as to when Chevrolet will reveal the 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1—and it won’t be in the United States.
In fact, Corvette Blogger reported on Tuesday that the reveal will take place in Dubai, the most populated city in the United Arab Emirates. Specifically, what will likely be the most track-focused and powerful C7 Corvette will show face at the Dubai Motor Show, if the report pans out. We think it all makes sense.
The report cites an invitation sent to various Corvette owners to celebrate 65 years of Chevrolet Performance, and the invite shows every generation of Corvette along with information on the special event. Dubai does make sense for the Corvette ZR1’s debut since it’s home to many individuals with an insatiable appetite for speed that crave high horsepower cars at any price.
What about in the U.S.? It seemed likely Chevrolet would reveal the 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1Â prior to the opening of the 2018Â LA Auto Show later this month, as GM has no scheduled press conferences. Chevrolet’s special Dubai event kicks off at 10 a.m. EST this Sunday, so we’ll know more very soon.

Maybe those pics of th ZR1 getting loaded on planes a few weeks ago were show cars getting sent over there…. I thought maybe headed to Germany for testing but maybe those bad boys flew straight to Dubai.
