The GM Authority Take

The Acadia’s stellar sales performance in March shows that the midsize crossover lands at an even better sweet spot than its full-size, first-generation predecessor, most likely as a result of appealing to a broader potential customer base compared to its predecessor.

It will be interesting to monitor the Acadia’s sales performance into the 2017 calendar year, but we expect that the vehicle will continue to post sales volume growth in the months ahead thanks to various factors playing in its favor, including consumers’ love affair with crossovers (at the expense of other vehicle types, like sedans and coupes) as well as the Acadia’s transition from the full-size into the mid-size CUV segment.

  1. There have been some great deals too. I had a $11k off MSRP deal but was truck shopping.

  2. Is this Acadia the only other vehicle Chevrolet makes besides the pickup truck and Corvette that the fuel fill is on the proper side? No one wants to go to the far side of their vehicle to put gas in it.
