For generations, gearheads across the world (particularly the United States), have been cramming the largest possible engines or adding forced induction into tiny cars in order to make hooning as easy as possible. Then the following happened…
For two weeks, this picture of a Z06 Corvette with a Honda 4-cylinder motor swap has been circulating across all corners of the Internet, causing much confusion and heart failure amongst ‘Vette enthusiasts.
We’ve found out that the picture is indeed fabricated, and the engine swap was not actually performed. Thank the car gods. Because, not only is the Honda motor set up for a front-wheel-drive car, it would also require some sort of insane transmission homebrew in order to drive properly. Most importantly, it wouldn’t sound right, nor shred tires properly.
Check out the link below, and you’ll see the full story behind this automotive abomination. And we wonder: Will a 4-cylinder ever see its way into a Chevrolet Corvette?

Well DUH. Did you even go to the forum link the first time you posted it, because it stated right in the first post and on the first page that it was fake anyways. Guessing you must get your reporting from mainstream media.
LOL, anyone notice how that 200+hp 1.8L B18 takes up almost as much space as the 500hp, 7.0L, 427ci LS7 V8? Go ahead, somebody remind me why the nearly as compact, just as light OHV pushrod V8s suck again.
