Cadillac CT6 Deliveries Total 802 Units In February 2017

The Cadillac CT6 full-size prestige luxury sedan accounted for 802 deliveries in the United States in January 2017, its twelfth full month on sale in the U.S. market.

The figures compare to 634 U.S. deliveries in January 2017, 1,293 in December 2016, and 1,169 in November 2016. Since commencing sales in March 2016, the CT6 has accounted for 10,605 cumulative deliveries in the United States through February 2017. The full-size prestige-luxury CT6 sedan accounted for 1,436 deliveries in the first two months of 2017.

In Canada, the CT6 accounted for 17 deliveries in February, down from 21 in January 2017, 37 in December 2016, and 62 in November 2016. Cadillac CT6 sales accounted for 38 deliveries in Canada in the first two months of 2017.

Based on a high-tech, modern and lightweight rear-drive architecture labeled as the Omega platform, the CT6 is the first Cadillac model ever to compete in the full-size luxury flagship sedan space that has been defined by such segment stalwarts as the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8/S8, and Lexus LS.

The CT6’s February sales performance of 802 units is respectable when compared to its direct rivals, which delivered the following results during the month:

  • BMW 7 Series: 623 units
  • Mercedes-Benz S-Class: 1,002 units
  • Lexus LS: 294 units
  • Audi A8: 251 units

  6. The CT6 is also selling about 1000 units per month in China.

    We know the market continues to move toward more SUV/Crossovers. However, the CT6 is a very important vehicle with many advanced manufacturing technologies. A key example of GM’s ability to bring to market such self developed advancements.

    1. And when you give that tech to your Chinese partner, you disseminate that technology throughout the Chinese auto industry.

      And this is how Western companies are building current and future competitors. Short-term profits vs long-term domination for Chinese companies.
