After the launch of the Cadillac CT6 120th Anniversary Edition in China at the end of June, General Motors has just introduced the 2023 Cadillac XT6 120th Anniversary in the Asian country to continue the celebration of Cadillac’s 120th birthday.
The automaker’s SAIC-GM joint venture in China launched the 2023 Cadillac XT6 120th Anniversary Edition, which introduces the new model year for the nameplate in the Chinese market. It also becomes the second model to commemorate the brand’s anniversary after the flagship sedan.
Unlike the Cadillac CT6 120th Anniversary Edition’s unique configuration based on Sport trim, the new 2023 Cadillac XT6 120th Anniversary Edition is actually a total of six variants spread across each of the crossover’s four trim levels in China. Two of them are based on the Sport and two are based on the Luxury, while the Premium Luxury and range-topping Platinum trims each get one.
Cosmetically, the 2023 Cadillac XT6 120th Anniversary Edition keeps the same overall look of the model since its launch in early 2019, adding only a few minor design tweaks for each trim level. This includes the unique Cadillac “Flying Goddess” icon emblem on the D-pillar, and the new Night Blue paint color first introduced on the CT6.
Similarly, the 2023 Cadillac XT6 120th Anniversary Edition’s cabin retains the look and the existing seating configurations, with three rows for a capacity of six or seven passengers. However, each of the six versions of the XT6 120th Anniversary Edition comes standard with Cadillac’s B-pillar facial recognition system to access the vehicle, which includes a small vertical screen, a proximity sensor and a high-resolution camera.
The 2023 Cadillac XT6 120th Anniversary Edition is available for sale at the brand’s official dealer network in China, where it currently encompasses the crossover’s entire 2023 model-year offering. All versions are equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY engine and a mild-hybrid system that adds an electric motor and a 48V battery, generating 250 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

What’s with all the “kkkkk” stuff? Does that mean something where you’re from?
Nevermind, I guess it means you’re from Brazil.
And GM/Cadillac has not introduced anniversary editions in the US where the brand was born!? Guess that tells us where their market focus is and the market they care about.
I own 2-CT6 full-sized luxury sedans and China gets the 2nd generation CT6. We are saddled with all these fugly CUV/SUV’s or mall-crawler pickups. We get the useless CT4 & CT5…good-bye Cadillac and GM. I’ll be shopping a brand that offers me a full-sized luxury sedan when I am ready for a new CAR.
Unfortunately, the generation of woke lives and breathes crappy crossovers because camping or whatever.
Ignore the fact that an SUV profile in a compact vehicle does absolutely nothing for practically.
In regards to the CT6, sales numbers in China are and were 7-10x US sales. It’s absolutely business.
I’m wondering if the 2024 XT6 will receive the same refreshed interior with the large screens as the lesser 2024 XT4. Any news on this?
