2020 Cadillac CT4-V

The 2020 Cadillac CT4-V builds on the precision-focused details of the all-new Cadillac CT4 luxury sedan introduced earlier this year to offer elevated road performance and an engaging driving experience. As part of its Y-trim strategy, Cadillac is slotting the CT4-V between the entry-level CT4 and upcoming CT4-V Blackwing models as a “performance-lite” variant of sorts, similar to the departed V-Sport range.

Cadillac says that the 2020 CT4-V follows the steps of the 2019 CT6-V, and grows the V-Series family with even more levels of performance, while preserving the lineage established by the original V-Series lineup introduced in 2004.

“The new lineup expands the V-Series ethos, drawing more customers into the Cadillac Performance family, and the newest Vs are focused on elevated athleticism and luxurious refinement for customers wanting a dynamic daily drive,” said Mark Reuss, GM president. “And this is only the beginning of the V family. Cadillac’s passion for performance shines on a racetrack. Stay tuned.”

Performance

Developed for a new generation of sedan customers, the first-ever CT4 blends nimble handling and Cadillac’s signature technology. The CT4-V takes these traits further, infusing the brand’s racing DNA for a dynamic, responsive and exhilarating driving experience.

Performance highlights include:

  • Cadillac’s high-output 2.7-liter L3B turbocharged I4 engine
    • Features a unique three-step sliding camshaft to optimize performance at all speeds
    • SAE rating of 325 horsepower and 381 pound-feet of torque
  • 10-speed automatic
  • Mechanical limited-slip rear differential (G80)
  • V-Series performance chassis with Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 on rear-wheel drive (RWD) models
    • ZF MVS (Modular Valve System) passive dampers on all-wheel drive (AWD) models
  • Standard rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration with an available all-wheel drive (AWD) option
  • Vehicle Control Mode
    • With customizable V-Mode
  • Brembo front braking system

Body Styles

The 2020 CT4-V model is offered exclusively as a four-door sedan.

The 2020 Cadillac CT4-V offers a total of eleven exterior colors and two interior color options with two different seat trims.

The 2020 CT4-V color options include:

  • 9 Exterior Colors:
    • Velocity Red
    • Red Obsession Tintcoat

Notably, the Crystal White Tricoat exterior color option is excluded from the list as it is only available for non-V CT4 models.

Exterior Highlights

The 2020 CT4-V maintains the sedan’s sleek profile leverages the natural, long dash-to-front-axle proportional advantage of the rear-drive platform and, along with its wide stance, expresses presence, confidence and performance.

Notably, the CT4-V has a few distinctions to help differentiate it from the ‘regular’ 2020 Cadillac CT4 models, including:

  • 18-inch wheels wrapped in summer-only performance tires
    • All-season tires are available for all-wheel drive models (AWD)
  • Dark exterior accenting
  • Mesh grilles
  • Unique rear spoiler with quad exhaust tips
    • The design helps reduce rear lift while increasing grip for the rear tires

Interior Highlights

On the inside, Cadillac CT4-V features a unique performance persona instrument cluster and V-Mode steering wheel control. However, drivers and passengers will find the same elegant, wide surface lines and simple interfaces found in the non-V CT4. As such, the focus on quality, attention to detail, authenticity of materials and impeccable craftsmanship are all maintained, as is the 1080dp high-definition full-color 10-inch-diagonal touchscreen, which is mounted high within the instrument panel for visibility. The Super Cruise system is also available on CT4-V models.

Notably, the Sangria with Jet Black interior color combination is exclusively available on CT4-V models.
