These 2025 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban 24-Inch Wheels Are Currently Unavailable To Order

General Motors unveiled a mid-cycle refresh for the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban in conjunction with the 2025 model year, showing off new exterior styling, an overhauled cabin, and new tech features. Now, GM Authority has learned that several wheel options for the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban are currently unavailable to order. The constraint impacts multiple trim levels and three appearance packages for both full-size SUVs.

The 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban are currently unavailable to order with the following wheel options (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • 22-inch Multi-split spoke Chrome wheels (SSW)
  • 24-inch Bright Chrome PVD wheels (5FF)
  • 24-inch Black wheels (5FG)

Critically, the new wheel constraints also affect the availability of several appearance packages, limiting the customizability of several trims of the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban. Among these is the Chrome Package (RPO code PDV), which is still available on LS and LT, but unavailable on Premier and High Country.

The Chrome Package includes:

  • Chrome mirror caps (VKU)
  • 22-inch Bright Chrome wheels (SF1 – LS and LT only)
  • 22-inch Multi-split spoke Chrome wheels (SSW – Premier only)
  • 24-inch Bright Chrome PVD wheels (5FF – High Country only)

Additionally, the Dark Essentials Plus Package (RPO code PDC) is still available for LS and LT, but is unavailable for the RST trim. The Dark Essentials Plus Package includes:

  • Black bowtie emblems (SFZ – LS and LT only)
  • Black nameplates (RIK – LS and LT only)
  • Black mirror caps (S4X – RST only)
  • 22-inch multi-spoke Gloss Black wheels (SRV – LS and LT only)
  • 24-inch Black wheels (5FG – RST only)

Finally, the Premium Dark Essentials Package (RPO code PEF) is available on Premier, but currently unavailable on High Country. The Premium Dark Essentials Package includes:

  • Black nameplates (RIK)
  • Black mirror caps (S4X)
  • Black bowtie emblems (SFZ – Premier only)
  • Black illuminated front bowtie emblem (R88 – High Country only)
  • 22-inch multi-spoke Gloss Black wheels (SGM – Premier only)
  • 24-inch Black wheels (5FG – High Country only)

As a reminder, the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are offered with a variety of powertrain options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the new-for-2025 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine. Both full-size SUVs ride on the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

  1. Other than vanity, why would I want 24-inch wheels on any vehicle here in the pothole infested Northeast?

  2. Not sure who would want these? They are expensive and the tires at very expensive and both are vulnerable to damage.

  3. Good luck with those 24″ wheels with the necessary Low Aspect ratio Sidewall tires when you hit a serious pothole. Be prepared to replace the wheel and, since only available from GM, you will be fleeced for $$$$$$$$$$$$$ . 22’s are bad enough but 24’s ? LMAO ! Tires from Michelin for the 22’s are running $ 325/$350 ea. at Sam’s Club.

  4. Just received my 2025 suburban hc and the 24s are incredible. Super smooth ride, enough sidewall to deal with what 95% of people use suburbans for, and it looks tremendously better.
