The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe represents the fifth model year of the fifth generation Tahoe, for which it received a mid-cycle refresh. It’s worth noting that this refresh was initially expected for the 2024 model year, but was delayed until the 2025 MY instead.
This change follows the 2021 Tahoe, which received a complete overhaul (re-engineering and redesign), followed by minor changes to the 2022 Tahoe, 2023 Tahoe, and 2024 Tahoe.

Production
Production of the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe began on October 7th, 2024, at the GM Arlington plant in Texas, United States.
Tahoe vs. Suburban
The Chevy Tahoe is a shorter variant of the Chevrolet Suburban, with the Tahoe having a shorter wheelbase and overall length that delivers a smaller interior space, particularly in the third row and cargo area. See more details about Suburban vs. Tahoe.
Platform
Like all fifth-generation Tahoes, the 2025 Chevy Tahoe continues to ride on the GM T1 platform. Otherwise known as GMT-T1 or T1XX, the architecture is designed for pickup trucks and body-on-frame SUVs.
Pricing
Pricing for the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe starts at $60,995. See here for the complete 2025 Tahoe pricing list.
Seating
The 2025 Tahoe is offered in two seating configurations, seating either seven or eight passengers.
- Seven-passenger configuration (2-2-3): this setup features front bucket seats (providing seating for two), along with captain’s chairs in the second row (seating two) and a bench seat in the third row (seating three).
- Eight-passenger configuration (2-3-3): this setup features front bucket seats (providing seating for two), along with a bench seat in the second row (seating three) and a bench seat in the third row (also seating three).
Beyond 2025
We expect the current, fifth-generation Tahoe to remain in production through at least the 2027 model year, with the 2028 model year set to receive a mid-cycle refresh.
