Pink Cadillac V-Series.R To Support Fight Against Breast Cancer At Road Atlanta

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Cadillac is showing its support with a new pink livery for the 01 Cadillac V-Series.R racing machine. The pink Cadillac V-Series.R made its competition debut last month, and now heads to Road Atlanta sporting the special exterior color in support of the American Cancer Society. Additionally, GM will donate up to $170,000 towards the fight against breast cancer via a new social media campaign.

“Fans can watch the pink V-Series.R compete in the final IMSA race of the season on October 12th, and help support the American Cancer Society’s Marking Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign,” Cadillac states. “Through the month of October, GM will donate $5 to the mission (up to $170,000), for every share of this post to our fans’ Instagram stories with the hashtag #WeDriveFor.”

The V-Series.R livery includes fuchsia for the front end of the race car, while further back in the body, the pink hue fades into a black finish with horizontal striping adding a sense of motion, all while giving a nod to styling cues seen in Cadillac’s road-going lineup, including the brand’s various electric vehicles.

As GM Authority covered previously, Cadillac has also partnered with the Forza Motorsport video game franchise to offer this eye-catching new livery as a downloadable feature in the game, giving players a chance to apply the livery to their own digital race car.

The V-Series.R made its competition debut at the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona endurance event under the V-LMDh nameplate. It’s equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.5L DOHC cross-plane V8 hybrid engine rated 670 horsepower, which powers the rear axle through a seven-speed transverse sequential transmission. As an atmospheric V8, the V-Series.R’s engine emits a very distinct sound, and stands out against its turbocharged rivals, such as the GMC M Hybrid V8, Porsche 963, and Acura ARX-06.
