One year after launching the refreshed 2025 Chevy Captiva in Mexico, General Motors has just announced the debut of the new Captiva Black Edition in the Latin country.
The automaker’s Mexican subsidiary introduced the new 2025 Chevy Captiva Black Edition as the main novelty for the second model year of the utility vehicle’s mid-cycle update in Mexico, where the refreshed Captiva made its global debut in early 2023. As such, the Captiva Black Edition debuts a new configuration that stands out with sporty accents inside and out.
“At Chevrolet, we innovate to remain our customers’ preference, and with the Captiva Black Edition package, we offer a new youthful and sporty option that will reinforce the model presence in its segment,” said Marketing Manager of Chevrolet at GM Mexico, Angel Pacheco. “It retains the attributes of performance, safety and connectivity, combined with an attractive exterior design that will make trips a fun experience in the city or on the highway,” he added.
Specifically, the new 2025 Chevy Captiva Black Edition is based on the well-equipped Premier trim level, while adding a set of design tweaks that make it the top-of-the-line variant of the crossover in Mexico. Aesthetically, the 2025 Captiva Black Edition introduces a blacked-out overall finish for the first time on the model, including a black grille, wheels, moldings and logos as well as red accents and an exclusive black-painted roof.
In addition, the 2025 Chevy Captiva Black Edition debuts the new Royal Blue exterior color and adds exclusive details to the all-black interior such as new perforated leather upholstery with red stitching, and the Chevrolet logo on the black steering wheel. It maintains the three-row, seven-seat configuration, in addition to the most complete technology, safety and comfort equipment offered by the model.
The new 2025 Chevy Captiva Black Edition will be available for sale at Chevrolet’s extensive network of official dealers in Mexico starting the last week of October, with a choice of five body colors. This is the first sporty variant of the second-generation Chevy Captiva to be introduced in the Mexican market, priced at 587,600 pesos (about $29,590 USD at the current exchange rate).

$29K USD for THAT nasty thing? Jeez, it’s even worse there than here, as far as prices. It looks 10 years old, except for the “mandatory” new-age and absurd low headlights. Looks tippy too. I feel for you, Mexico, being subjected to this.
So, what you’re telling me is, you’re not Captiva-ted by this sexy ppl mover? 😮
