The Cadillac Escalade-V and the Lamborghini Huracán EVO don’t have a lot in common. The Escalade-V is a three-row luxury SUV with a supercharged V8, and the Huracán EVO is an exotic two-seater supercar with a mid-mounted V10.
Despite being so different, the madmen at Hennessey Performance Engineering thought it would be fun to pit its Cadillac Escalade-V H1000 against a Lamborghini Huracán EVO in a series of races.
In the video above, Hennessey mentions that the Huracán is rear-wheel-drive, so we assume it’s the Huracán LP 610-2 variant. That being the case, the V10 behind the driver of this Lambo produces 602 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.
The H1000 upgrade to the Cadillac Escalade-V boosts output from the 6.2L V8 LT4 by 50 percent to 1,005 horsepower and increases torque by 35 percent, bringing it to 882 pound-feet. It achieves these impressive performance specs primarily with a high-flow supercharger, a custom camshaft, ported cylinder heads, a custom engine tune, and a high-performance throttle body.
Unsurprisingly, the Lamborghini, which weighs approximately 2,700 pounds less than the Escalade and has much more favorable aerodynamics, was a better performer overall. That said, the Cadillac Escalade-V H1000 does an admirable job keeping up with the Italian supercar, and the American SUV was even quicker off the line from a dead stop.
Hennessey Performance clocks a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds for the Cadillac Escalade-V H1000. Lamborghini’s quoted 0-60 mph time for the Huracán LP 610-2 is 3.3 seconds. As we see in the video, the Lambo eventually catches up to and surpasses the Escalade for a victory across the finish line with a gap of about two car lengths, according to John Hennessey’s estimate from behind the wheel of the Caddy.
The quicker jump off the starting line for the Cadillac is likely due to its much higher torque rating and all-wheel-drive system. It would be interesting to see the same race against an AWD-equipped Huracán.
“A full-size luxury SUV has no business beating supercars, but the way the H1000 Escalade-V holds its own against legendary performance cars like the Huracán EVO is insane,” Hennessey Performance founder and CEO John Hennessey said. “If there’s a faster, more fun way to move seven people in this much comfort, I’m yet to find it!”
Production of the Cadillac Escalade-V H1000 is limited to 100 units, with all build slots already sold out.

That’s a misleading title, it isn’t quicker or faster except for a very specific range of speed. It wasn’t quicker over the race, it wasn’t faster overall, it just beat a 2wd car off the line with all wheel drive through first gear.
Based on my past readings on GM Authority, I strongly say that it likes to mislead its readers not only on the title of the articles but also on the details of the articles too. Do not believe everything it writes/publishes.

What you describe is not part of our mission, vision or operations statement, nor does it actually happen… but I’ll play along. Please provide details and examples of how we “like to mislead” when it comes to titles and details.
Thanks for the comment!

It’ll never be enough.
Love it. Those caddy lovers like my grandmother (RIP) who owned many, would love this. She’d probably buy one if she were still here.
