As part of the luxury brand’s planned expansion into Europe, General Motors has just announced the debut of Cadillac‘s all-electric business at the 2024 Paris Motor Show.
The automaker is presenting its new Cadillac EV business for the first time at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, which is open to the public from October 14th to the 20th at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center in the French capital. As such, Cadillac is returning to the iconic French auto show with global reach after more than a decade of absence to showcase its range of zero-emission vehicles to the European and international public.
“Cadillac is set to make a bold statement at the Mondial de l’Auto – Paris with the brand’s two standout models, the Lyriq and Optiq,” said President and Managing Director at GM Europe, Pere Brugal. “Both models showcased Cadillac’s future-forward approach to luxury transportation, cementing its position as a leader in the electric vehicle space,” he added.
The premiere of the Cadillac EV business at the 2024 Paris Motor Show represents an important step in the brand’s return to Europe and reinforces its recent arrival in key countries of the region, including France, followed by Germany and an imminent introduction in the United Kingdom. The luxury brand is returning to Europe with two models that are part of the global EV portfolio.
Cadillac is also taking advantage of this year’s running of the Paris Motor Show to introduce the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq, which is smaller than the Lyriq and therefore better suited to the European market. Indeed, the event saw the debut of the new Optiq “Arctiq”, a special edition for the show that “reinvents the future of luxury winter travel.”
The Cadillac stand at the 2024 Paris Motor Show will be open from October 15th to the 20th at Stand A52, Hall 5.3 of the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, where the European press and general public will be able to experience the brand’s new battery electric vehicles. In addition, Cadillac is offering a special Cadillac Lyriq leasing and test drive promotion for visitors to France’s largest automotive event.

Terrible name. Sounds like a commercial-only venture.
GM, with its over-obsessiveness with US EVs, is about to discover that Europeans don’t want them either.
🙄😒🙄
GM needs a segment below Optiq for the Cadillac Brand as well.
That should sell well in China, Europe, and the NA markets.
Good to see Cadillac back in Europe. Lets get Chevy going there as well.
They have plenty of EV’s now and the Bolt Family should be coming out soon as well.
Yes…they could call it the Cimmarroniq
If you want to go a segment lower go to Buick.
Is this what the French have been waiting for? Really?
