The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is a wickedly quick machine, pumping out four-figure power with so much gusto the exhaust gasses actually provide the car with thrust. As expected, the styling on offer matches the performance with an eye-catching widebody stance and no shortage of sharpened aero bits. Now, we’re checking out the new C8 ZR1 as it sits in the new Hysteria Purple paint option.
Captured at the 2025 Corvette ZR1 reveal event in Miami, this particular example presents the convertible body style, giving us a good look at the tan interior in the process.
Without the optional ZTK performance package and related aero add-ons, this particular Corvette ZR1 has a slightly more understated look. However, there’s no chance this thing will fly under the radar, especially with that wild-looking purple paint on the body panels. Hysteria Purple is a new color for the 2025 model year, and the Chevy Corvette range in general.
Up front, we see the pass-through front air extraction hood, which provides enhanced cooling as well as more front end downforce and grip. The sharp, blade-like nose is enhanced by a carbon fiber splitter that juts out from the lower lip.
In the corners, we spot a set of multi-spoke wheels with a two-tone look, including polished outer spokes and matte gray inner detailing. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, with wheel width staggered at 20 inches in front and 21 inches in the rear. Massive carbon ceramic brakes help to haul the monster down.
Moving into the rear end, we find a wicker bill-style spoiler, rather than the massive wing included with the optional ZTK performance package. Like the Z06, the ZR1 incorporates a quartet of rounded exhaust pipes, but unlike the naturally aspirated Z06, the ZR1 mounts two turbochargers, boosting the 5.5L V8 LT7 engine to 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque.
Indeed, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 is every inch a superstar performer, and a wild paint hue like Hysteria Purple matches the attitude well.
As a reminder, all C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, with production taking place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

This would’ve been a great color option on the Camaro 😐
Must be my eyes, lots of blue in that..
Blue print blue or black light blue. it does have a little purple in it but mostly blue, but put it side by side by other blues, and you’ll see it. I had a ’94 C4 in Admiral Blue which looks to be the same color. Still love that color.
I like those wheels!
I also had a Admiral Blue Vette. Loved that color. I think Admiral was a lighter shade of blue than the Hysteria. They can call this purple all they want, but I only see it as a shade of blue.
I have a 23 Dodge Challenger Hemi in Plum Crazy. That’s what I call purple.
Looks like blue to me, not purple. Will have to see it in person.
Burple is cool
I was thinking the same thing. Looks like blue to me.
I love this car! This exact one in particular!
Don’t really care for the new wheels on the ZR1or the new ZO6. To each his own.
I read somewhere that they are saying the ZR1 will be the most expensive C8.
If there really is going to be a Zora, the only thing I can think it can be is an all EV, making the ZR1 an even bigger deal as a collector. Just a thought.
