The all-new 2024 Chevy Traverse got its big debut in July of the 2023 calendar year, ushering in the crossover’s third generation. As expected, the new Traverse introduces a variety of updates and changes, not the least of which is new styling that takes its cues from Chevy’s latest “High Brow” design language. The all-new model also has a wide variety of wheel options on the table, with the base-level 18-inch rollers showing a rather interesting design.
GM calls the base 2024 Chevy Traverse 18-inch design “Grazen Metallic machine-face aluminum wheels,” and tags it with RPO code SGE. The design looks as though it includes a mashup of two separate split-spoke layouts, with a darker gray finish for inner portions of the wheel, and a silver finish for ancillary spokes around the edges. The silver spokes also appear to be slightly raised off the wheel face, further dividing them from the lower dark gray spokes, at least visually speaking.
Overall, it’s a pretty busy design, but we think it looks good. The design is particularly attractive for a standard wheel included with the base trim. To note, the Grazen Metallic machine-face aluminum wheels are equipped by LS and LT variants.
By contrast, the Z71 trim is equipped with the 18-inch High-Gloss Black machine-faced wheels (RPO code PXW). As the standard Z71 wheel, the design is definitely more rugged look to it, and includes black inner spokes with silver detailing around the edges. These 18-inch wheels are also wrapped in 265/65R18 all-terrain tires.
Other notable wheel designs include the 22-inch High Gloss Black painted aluminum wheels (RPO code RUH) equipped as standard by the RS. These have a star-like pattern that fans out from the center of the wheel to meet recessed detailing around the edges, with a single color used throughout.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Traverse cradles the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine as standard across the lineup, with the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform providing the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

I wish they could build more, faster! They sell just as fast as they roll off of the transporter.
I like the midnight package wheels the best
Other than the typical 5-spoke Chevy design of the 22’s, these are pretty creative and attractive wheels – especially as standard equipment on base models. The new LPO 22’s on the Buick Enclave are also decidedly un-Buick, in a good way. Whoever is in charge of wheel design on GM’s big FWD / AWD SUV’s needs a wider portfolio.
I like the first one but not the ugly black ones.
Those wheels are like putting lipstick on a pig. Of cousre, that’s just my opinion.
