Here Are All The 2024 Chevy Traverse Wheels

The 2024 Chevy Traverse launches the crossover’s third generation with new exterior styling, an overhauled cockpit, and several other significant changes, including motivation by a new engine. Here are the details about the wheels offered on the third-gen Traverse.

Eight wheel styles are included in the lineup of rollers for the 2024 Chevy Traverse across the four trim levels – LS, LT, Z71, and RS.

One wheel choice, the 20-inch High Gloss Black wheel, is available only as part of the Midnight Edition package and the Sport Edition package, which are both identified by RPO code WJU. These packages are priced at $1,785 regardless of whether they are selected for the LS or LT trim. The Q9P Carbon Flash Metallic wheel is priced at $1,400. The LPO or dealer-installed SAK 22-inch Bright aluminum wheel and SAY 22-inch Black aluminum wheel are priced at $3,495 and $2,995, respectively.

Further pricing details for the 2024 Chevy Traverse, uncovered by GM Authority, reveal that starting prices for the crossover range from a $38,995 MSRP for the FWD configuration of the entry-level LS trim to $57,595 for an AWD configuration of the range-topping RS. The destination freight charge of $1,395 is included in these starting prices.

New for the 2024 model year is updated styling with an aggressive, truck-like design aesthetic, an overhauled interior, and the first-ever appearance of the off-road focused Z71 trim level. The Z71 features 7.76 inches of ground clearance, twin-clutch all-wheel drive, and the model’s best approach and departure angles at 21 degrees and 24 degrees respectively.

When it comes to propulsion, all current trim levels of the 2024 Chevy Traverse are equipped as standard with the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, developing 328 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 326 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm. As such, the 2024 Traverse gets a 19-percent torque boost compared to the second-gen model with the 3.6L V6 LFY engine for motivation.

The third-gen Traverse uses the GM C1 platform for structure, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

  2. Where’s the chrome in the 22 inch wheel!!! I prefer chrome. Sick of the black wheels.

    1. Personally, I can’t wait until they change the color of tires.

  3. Any updates on new Traverse deliveries? They’ve been stockpiled for a while now. “Waiting for transit” according to Chevy.

  4. I like the new front fascia, but not the shark fins, Toyota Sienna taillights and the gas guzzler 4 cylinder turbo, that will be much more expensive to service. They can also drop the commercial Summit White, not appropriate for this type of vehicle.

    1. Gas guzzler 4 cylinder turbo, so you know the specs? Please share with everyone because it hasn’t been announced. No way they would go down in mpg with how important it is. I bet it stays flat or goes up. If that is the case then was the 3.6 a gas guzzler because to most it did pretty well. And the 2.7 this new 2.5 is based off of in many instances is exceeding the advertised mpg.

In terms of wheels, stop it the black wheels, they are hideous. It is fine to make them an option for those still living early 2000’s when it was cool to be “blacked out”, but only include them on those packages, they shouldn’t come standard with no other options.

      1. The MPG for the AWD has been released. 2.5L Turbo gets 19 city and 23 Highway. (From previous GM Authority article). Compared to 17 city and 25 highway for the outgoing 3.6L engine. Little better in the city but worse on the highway. Not impressive at all. But not a shock given that the 2.7L Turbomax struggles to get the same mileage as the 5.3L V8 in the trucks. I had one for 2 years and it was NOT great of fuel and very noisy.

  6. I was excited about the 2024 Chevy Traverse late last year.
    And then production got pushed.
That put up my spidey sense thinking there might be a problem.
And now it is almost May and it is COMPLETE radio silence.
At this point, my excitement is now at most a yawn and more like trembling with fear.
I’m assuming that between COVID (I can’t believe the car manufacturers are still using that as an excuse), engineering problems, last years strike and/or manufacturing problems are causing problems.
I’ll wait for the 2025 version at this point or better yet, the 2025 Tahoe
Chevy and GM have handed the Toyota Grand Highlander all the sales for 2024 at this point.

    1. I was also excited about the 2024 Traverse. Then I read that the 2025’s were going to start being delivered in December. My question is this – are the 25’s going to be the 24’s that have been sequestered somewhere in Michigan for all these months?

      1. I am starting to think that the 25’s are going to be the 24’s with all the problems that they said “we need to ship something, let’s just fix it in 25”

  7. So they do a whole article on wheels but can’t spend literally 1 minute to write down why they are not shipping Traverses to dealers? We should all think the worst at this point, because they are definitely hiding a giant turd.

    1. COVID, $10 billion in buy backs and giving the workers a 25% raise after a strike I think have caused execution problems.
That is just my opinion with no additional information.
The fact that they have not been giving the YouTubers cars to do driving impressions worries me that they aren’t even close to being ready to deliver them.
I’m not b!tching, I am honestly disappointed that they are delayed.
Now I have pretty much decided on the 2025 Tahoe

  8. There is a typo on the table. The last wheel on the bottom which is standard on RS says 20” and it should say 22”

  9. A bunch of uninspired choices. Where is the chrome wheel option or something flashy for a Premiere or High Country version? At least make a nice machine faced with grey pocket option for the LT

    Reply
    1. There is no Premier and No High Country trims any longer.

  10. GM laid two big turds on the new Traverse

    1. cant get them into the market
    2. Dropped the premium trim levels stranding 25% of its customers.
