General Motors has posted a new video advertisement that puts a fun twist on the cargo capacity of the 2024 Chevy Traverse, filling the crossover with water balloons. The brief video showcases the Traverse’s practicality in a playful way, tying into a summertime activity dubbed “Water Balloon Baseball.”
The video, clocking in at just 24 seconds, is part of a series of recent advertisements that highlight how the 2024 Chevy Traverse can create what the brand calls “Summer King Moments.” In the latest installment, we see a young girl in a park, bat in hand, ready to take a swing. The scene then shifts to the back of the 2024 Chevy Traverse, where several baskets brimming with water balloons are neatly stored.
A text overlay proudly declares, “Best-in-class 98 cubic-feet max cargo,” further stating, “That’s room for over 600 water balloons. And unlimited fun with family and friends.”
The video continues with the little girl taking a few swings at water balloon pitches, sending bursts of water flying in all directions. It’s a sweet and simple moment, capturing the joy of the easy summer months.
This video is just one in a series aimed at showing how the 2024 Chevy Traverse can be an integral part of memorable summer activities. Previous “Summer King Moment” videos have featured the Traverse’s utility for a lakeside picnic, where its cargo capacity and infotainment system were put to good use, as well as a mountain biking adventure, with the Traverse serving as the right vehicle for transporting gear to the trailhead.
As a quick reminder, the third-generation 2024 Chevy Traverse comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine and is built on the GM C1 platform. Production takes place at GM’s Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.
