All-New Cadillac Optiq Interior Design Officially Revealed

Almost five months after the global debut of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq, General Motors has just officially revealed the interior design of Cadillac‘s all-electric crossover.

The automaker’s SAIC-GM joint venture in China revealed the first official images of the all-new Cadillac Optiq‘s interior as part of the model’s rollout in that country, serving as a prelude to the crossover’s imminent local launch. The Optiq is the second model in the new lineup of fully electric vehicles with the brand’s latest design language and global image in the Chinese market.

In particular, the interior design of the all-new Cadillac Optiq introduces its own interpretation of the luxury brand’s new styling direction that proposes a unique combination of craftsmanship, minimalism and cutting-edge technology. The first official images show that at least two colorways will be available in the new Optiq, including Grey/Beige and Black/Brown with different finishes and contrasting trim.

Although it shares multiple controls and the large curved display panel with the Cadillac Lyriq, the cabin of the all-new Cadillac Optiq is distinguished by having its own dashboard design with more fluid horizontal lines that unify the driver and passenger sections. Also notable are the moldings painted in blue or satin silver on the lower part of the dashboard and the doors, which give it a touch of freshness.

In addition, the Cadillac Optiq’s interior differs from the rest of the vehicles in the brand’s lineup by adopting a two-tier center console, with the module that houses the controls and cupholders in a more prominent position above the armrest. For its part, the central storage space under the dashboard is uncovered and lined with suede upholstery in a contrasting color that extends to all the other storage spaces.

The all-new Cadillac Optiq will be officially launched in China on April 25th during the opening of the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China), and will go on sale shortly after in the official Cadillac IQ dealer network in the Asian country. Although a timeline for its launch in North America has not yet been announced, the 2025 Optiq is expected to be available in the region later this year or in early 2025.

    1. Agreement from me. I am surprised actually, it does look like a Cadillac, despite being Chinese

  2. The seat controls on the doors look cool but they need lighting.

  5. I am still not a fan of the tiny fake Grille.
But I want to see it in person

    1. What’s a fake grille? Have you ever seen the grilles on the Lexus vehicles?

    2. Momolos it’s not a “fake” grill EV’s still need some cooling from the front of the vehicle just not as much as an ICE car. Besides I like the fact that this front end doesn’t look like it belongs on a car demolition man those where weird looking.

  6. Awesome. Looks exactly like every Buick and Cadillac now. How original. At least we are getting closer to Lincoln with the wall to wall screens.

Drive a vehicle or sit home and play on your 82″ OLED digital HiPhi smart flat screen all you want.

  7. Surprising to see Apple CarPlay on the screen. I thought that was being removed from all future EVs.

  8. Dreading the electronics issues on these in the 5-8 year, or sooner, time frame.

    1. exactly. You should see some of the issues we see with the Volvo and Mazda’s and they don’t even have these massive screens. We have people coming in where they can’t adjust the climate, can’t see speeds or nav or radio settings. And look at the issues the Blazer EV was having with it’s huge screens a few months ago where they did a stop sale on them until they could figure it out.

All these people think they want all this huge screens and huge rims until…………..and then they realize.

      1. Cars have had issues since the invention of the car. That’s why they offer warranties and that’s why there are Lemon Laws. Maybe you should buy a horse instead if you’re so worried.

        1. William: I’d love to see you sitting in your Volvo or any of the other many vehicles where you have the black screen of death when it’s 100 degrees out and you can’t adjust your A/C or even turn it on or off. Or maybe you’re forced to listen to some radio station that you hate because you can’t change it.

          1. You’re a little worrywart aren’t you? Do you also stay up all night worrying about your car battery or fuel injectors failing?

            1. Some of the guys are terrified of new technology. One guy commented that he was already “dreading” something that may or may not happen in eight years to the electronics. SMH.

              1. Brad, that was me. I don’t “dread” technology at all. I truly “dread” GM electronics in the 5 to 8 year old range. Speaking from experience from a Suburban I owned.

Learn GM’s electronics history. It’s not a good one.

But hey, enough about me and my mistrust of GM. Please suit yourself with what you wish to buy. One man’s opinion shouldn’t sway your decisions.

Oh! You base everything on a Suburban you once owned? Okay…

                2. Brad, please go buy an Optiq. What are you squabbling with me about?

The fact that I don’t trust GM electronics? Sorry that hurts your feel-feels.

Doesn’t matter what my GM car and truck failures have been over the years. It has no bearing on what you buy.

  9. The Optiq is a great looking car, but its electric. I’m not ready for an electric car…I would consider a Hybrid if Cadillac offered one.

  10. Wow this the way a Cadillac should be different then everyone else if I agree in the market for an EV I would definitely look at this! Great job Cadillac!
