2025 Chevy Suburban High Country In Black: Live Photo Gallery

The refreshed 2025 Chevy Suburban got its big debut in November of the 2023 calendar year, dropping in with a long list of updates to the exterior design, interior layout, and technology features, as well as a new diesel engine. Outside, the refreshed Suburban takes its design cues from Chevy’s line of pickup trucks, lending it a tough aesthetic. Now, we’re checking out the new looks in Black paint out in the real world, all thanks to the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.

The 2025 Chevy Suburban High Country in Black paint.

This particular 2025 Chevy Suburban is the range-topping High Country trim level, which incorporates a selection of high-class exterior touches. For example, RST and High Country trims offer wheel sizing up to an impressive 24 inches in diameter. The Black paint is tagged with paint code GBA. These photos are also noteworthy for showing the refreshed Suburban in real world conditions with less-than-ideal lighting and even some road grime splattered against the body panels.

Up front, the 2025 Chevy Suburban shows off a new fascia design with restyled C-shaped lighting signatures. The lighting bits include horizontal strips along the upper corners of the fascia, and curved lighting around the headlamps placed lower in the fascia. The grille is rectangular in shape and is highlighted by a series of horizontal styling lines, as well as a prominent divider line along the upper portion of the intake. The Bow Tie badge is placed up top in gold.

The side view shows off chrome trim bits underlining the windows, running at a sharp, upwards angle around the C-pillar. A High Country badge is seen on the front fenders, while the Suburban badge is located in the front doors, with both badges finished in polished silver.

In the rear, we see a set of clear / dark taillight lenses, while a thin chrome trim line adds a little flair to the rear bumper. Four rounded exhaust tips finish it off.

As a a reminder, the Chevy Suburban High Country offers two engine options, starting with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. Additionally, the 2025 model year introduces the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax as a replacement for the outgoing 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. Elsewhere in the lineup, the Suburban offers the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine.

Under the skin, the Suburban rides on the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

  1. Sweet looking ride. But… it will cost about as much as the gross national product of most country’s. When will this stop? Take out a new vehicle loan, and the vehicle will wear out, well before it’s piad for!

  2. Can’t wait…already talked to my dealer about getting the new diesel but not the black color shown…hopefully it won’t take as long to get it as it did to get my 2023 diesel. I ended up with a GMC but want a chev.

  3. I hope this is just a sport or midnight package on this and the one they unveiled, I like the current high country rims and trim work better. Might have to settle for a premier when I order my 2025 tahoe.

  5. I know that this doesn’t apply to everyone but where GM put the block Heather plug is beyond stupid…the engineers must have had a brain cramp….they have never been in cold climate country…the plug compartment area will fill up with snow, ice, sand and whatever else is on the highway and freeze all. There is already some dealers that have come with a fix..not sure about the cost?? It would be nice if GM would come up with their own solution.
