A year after General Motors established The Durant Guild platform in China, the automaker’s premium import business just announced that it will introduce new vehicles in the Asian country.

The Durant Guild will showcase an exciting product lineup at the 2023 China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, where it will share its business plans to officially introduce its products to the Chinese market. GM’s premium import and lifestyle platform in China, which was born out of GM’s continued participation in the CIIE, returns to the event with a refreshed line of halo vehicles.

“CIIE provides a unique venue to take the market pulse and gather customer insights to drive our sustained growth in the Chinese market,” said GM Executive Vice President and President of GM China, Julian Blissett. “The feedback we received at CIIE encouraged us to establish The Durant Guild to bring in a curated collection of iconic products to enable the diverse lifestyles our customers are pursuing,” he added.

In particular, the main product news that The Durant Guild will present at the 2023 CIIE will be the Chinese debut in China of the Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray high-performance hybrid sports car and the exclusive presentation of the all-new Chevy Silverado EV pickup truck for the first time in the country. Both vehicles represent the most innovative versions of the iconic American nameplates and flagships of the Chevrolet brand.

In addition, The Durant Guild also announced that at the sixth edition of the CIIE, it will launch its marketing roadmap to satisfy the growing demand for highly distinctive vehicles in the Chinese market. This will strengthen the imported vehicle event as an invaluable platform for GM to explore new business opportunities, identify untapped segments and seek potential partners.

The 2023 China International Import Expo will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from November 5th to the 10th, with The Durant Guild booth located in Hall 2.1. Aside from the new Corvette E-Ray and the Chevy Silverado EV, GM’s premium import platform in China will once again introduce three other category-defining products: the GMC Hummer EV pickup, the GMC Yukon and the Chevy Tahoe.
