The Cadillac CT4 was initially offered for the 2020 model year, with the upcoming 2024 Cadillac CT4 set to debut the luxury sedan’s fifth model year. The 2024 Cadillac CT4 will introduce only a few small updates compared to the preceding 2023 model year, however, vehicle pricing will also change. Now, GM Authority has uncovered pricing information for the upcoming 2024 Cadillac CT4, CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing.
According to GM Authority sources, the 2024 Cadillac CT4 will be more expensive than the preceding model year, with each trim level receiving a pricing increase. This includes a $200 increase for 2024 Cadillac CT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels, a $500 increase for the CT4-V trim level, and a $1,000 increase for the range-topping CT4-V Blackwing.
With these latest price increases applied, the least-expensive 2024 Cadillac CT4 on offer, specifically the Luxury trim level with rear-wheel drive and the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, will be priced at $35,990. Meanwhile, the most-expensive trim level, specifically the CT4-V Blackwing with rear-wheel drive as well as the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine and GM 10-speed automatic transmission, will be priced at $66,065.

As GM Authority covered previously, the 2024 Cadillac CT4 was originally expected to introduce a model refresh. Now, however, GM Authority sources report that the Cadillac CT4 refresh has been pushed back, either to the 2025 model year, or to the 2024.5 model year.
When the refreshed Cadillac CT4 does finally debut, it is expected to introduce a long list of updates and changes, chief among which will be a round a powertrain upgrades. As GM Authority exclusively covered a few months back, the refreshed Cadillac CT4 powertrain updates will likely only be applied to the Cadillac CT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels, and not the sportier CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing variants.
As a reminder, the Cadillac CT4 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. Production of the 2024 Cadillac CT4 is expected to begin this July.

Wonder when with new manufacturing efficiencies like robotics, machining cells, transfer lines, data pathing, test stations, digital machine tools with automatic tool changers, volume efficiencies, etc., that vehicle pricing will experience a Walmart rollback?
My sister and her husband drove 4 hours to a Cadillac dealer to buy a 2o23 CT4. She has already had warranty work as the check engine light came on at less than 2000 miles (fan motor) and now at 3K they called yesterday on a short trip with a transmission vibration and possible slippage (A8 shutter?). My son’s 2017 Camaro A8 was corrected with the newest flush with no problems after 17K additional miles (now at 22K). I have read here that the A8 was updated, but I know there is a class action law suit going forward through the 2019 model years due to this issue. Has anyone had the shutter with a 2023? I recommended the CT4 to my sister as her BMW had 200K and was developing major issues. She wanted a new sedan and pickings are slim in today’s automotive world. She loves the car but I am growing concerned at this point. Thanks for any information on issues with the 2023 A8. P.S. An inflation monitor is also registering incorrectly, goes from 0 to 40 psi constantly. I’m not feeling good at all. The nearest dealer for warranty is 2 hrs away.
Davy: Not sure I can give any useful additional info. I had a 2020 CT4 and it was a very nice car. But I also had a few issues with it (A/C stopped working within the first month and needed a new switch or something at the control panel on the dash). Then at 2,000 miles it developed a strange but annoying noise after driving it for about 8 miles. It got so bad that others in the car would ask what “that” was. It was at the first dealer for a total of 2 visits and about 9 days in total. They never did find or fix it. While there, I asked them to check the trans as it has a strange shift at times and did have the shudder thing going on. I was firmly told that it was fine and nothing could be done. I brought up the issue and fix to them, and I was told they would do it only if I paid. Said no thanks and drove home. The noise was now so irritating that I contacted another dealer, took it to them and they had it fixed within 24 hours of getting the car. I asked them about the trans with the same response. So much for feeling like a proud Cadillac owner!
Although I liked the car, that trans and high used car prices caused me to sell it for a profit. I defended the car and had the typical excuses because I was still a true GM guy. Looking back and now that I’ve seen the light about GM, I find the entire thing pathetic. Bottom line is there’s zero need for an 8, 9 or 10 speed trans. Tell her to go trade it for another BMW. They will probably take better care of her than GM.

…since they’d have to avoid stepping on the toes of the 2.7T tune (310 hp at 5,500 rpm and 350 lb-ft. at 1,500 rpm) in the CT4 Premium Luxury. The tq coming in sooner may help the 0-60, or could definitely make it feel peppier around town.
A real ‘upgrade’? Detune the L3B from the -V/Premium Lux down to about 260 hp/300 lb-ft. for a base engine, then make a factory tune available for $400 to get 290 hp/330 lb-ft. The base car gets power that’s more suitable, there’s room to move up so a Sport trim can ‘go’ like it ‘shows’, and the upper-end -V/Prem Lux models can still warrant the higher price tags with the higher spec’d power and features. That could keep everyone happy…and with the interior changes coming, could make it a pretty compelling option. Or offer the new 2.5T with similar power numbers…6 of one, 1/2-dozen of the other.
