The all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo made its world debut late last year in Mexico as a five-door hatchback, but this new generation of the subcompact car also includes a sedan version that will soon be officially revealed in the Latin country.
General Motors is preparing for the imminent commercial rollout of the all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo in Mexico, the first export market for Chevrolet’s upcoming entry-level car for emerging markets that will also reach some countries in Central America, South America and Africa. The introduction of the 2024 Aveo in the Mexican market will begin with the hatchback version already announced and will be completed with a four-door sedan that has yet to be revealed.
The launch cadence for the two body styles of the all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo in Mexico lines up with the vehicle’s manufacturing strategy, developed by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture in China. Last August, the automaker began production of the new Chevy Aveo in hatchback configuration under project code “310C” and announced it would add the sedan version early this year.
In addition, the gradual introduction of the 2024 Chevy Aveo in what will be its main volume market is also due to the existence of the very popular outgoing Aveo in the country – which was offered exclusively in sedan bodywork. Although that vehicle is at the end of its commercial cycle, there are still units in transit that must be sold and before being replaced with the all-new 2024 Aveo sedan.
As the leak of the model’s patent images reported exclusively by GM Authority shows, the upcoming 2024 Chevy Aveo sedan sports the same front-end and front-side styling of the hatchback version that GM Mexico officially revealed late last year. The distinctions start from the B-pillar with a new stamping for the rear doors, a third side window and a generously dimensioned and raised trunk.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo sedan is expected to make its world debut over the next few months in Mexico, shortly after the hatchback model goes on sale sometime in the first half of the year. Both body styles of the 2024 Aveo will complement each other to compete for the top sales spot in the Mexican market in the highly popular entry-level vehicle category.

The yellow hatch looks a little strange from that front angle view, but then looks better from the full-on side view. But that little sedan is what I’d like to see and it would make a great addition to the Chevy line in the US.
any interior shots yet? i’m just curious to see the dash
Bring it to the US…!!! Ms. Barra has no intention to do so…I know. Bummer!.♐
I agree with Dan B. The USA needs this car to sell to the 5 million who have invaded our country.
Mick1:
Define “our country”. This isn’t true for every state, but the majority of California and a few other south/western states were actually part of Mexico and the American’s took it from them. I’m not here to start some war of words, but just knowing a little history can be important. In this case, the correct way to phrase it would have been “the 5 million who have invaded the country we took from them”.
