General Motors has released a new accessory mat for the eTrunk cargo area in the 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup.
Officially called the Carpeted Cargo Area Mat for eTrunk with Integrated Cargo Bin, this floor mat includes a fabric base with a high-friction backing, preventing the mat from moving around while the vehicle is in motion. The mat also includes an integrated cargo bin, allowing users “the flexibility to carry and contain smaller items of various sizes,” GM says. The four sides of the bin fold flat into the mat for storage when not in use.
This accessory floor mat, which is designed to fit the contours of the eTrunk cargo area in the GMC Hummer EV pickup, is priced from $200 USD on the GMC Accessories website. The mat is also backed by a 12,000 mile/one-year warranty, or the remaining balance of the vehicle’s bumper-to-bumper warranty – whichever is longer. GM says cleaning the cargo mat from time to time can “help extend its service life and appearance,” and suggests owners use mild soap and water or Rubber Mat & Liner Cleaner from Adam’s Polishes to clean it.
GM offers a wide range of official accessories for the 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup. These include but are not limited to an eTrunk Sky Panel Storage Set, Alternate Finish Badges, D-Ring Recovery Hooks, Off Road Mounted Pod Lights, a console-mounted safe, front and rear splash guards and a console-mounted safe.
Production of the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 pickup began at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan in December. Prices for the range-topping Edition 1 trim level, which is the only trim currently being produced, start at $110,295 with the destination freight charge – although all examples have already been spoken for.

I use a little piece of Velcro and saved $200,00 + dollars and didn’t need to take it to the dealer.
The OEM’s love to make high margins $$$ on vendor sourced options.
Actual cost to GM – $2.00 ~ 100% markup
100% mark up would only be $4.00. 10,000% would get you to $200.00.
