Check Out The 2022 Chevy Camaro Shock And Steel Package

General Motors is showing off the 2022 Chevy Camaro equipped with the Shock and Steel Package. The new photos were recently posted to social media via the official Chevrolet Mexico Instagram feed (@chevroletmexico).

For those readers who may be unaware, the Shock and Steel package offered for the 2022 Chevy Camaro includes a variety of aesthetic upgrades for the exterior and interior. The package is tagged with RPO code B2E and is offered on 2LT, 3LT, and 2SS trim levels, as well as both the Coupe and the Convertible body styles.

More specifically, the 2022 Chevy Camaro Shock and Steel Special Edition package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • 20-inch blade design aluminum wheels (RPO Q7F or 56Y)
  • Carbon Flash-painted outside mirrors
  • Center stripe
  • Fuel filler door in Black with visible carbon fiber insert (RPO VQL)
  • Yellow-painted calipers (RPO J6E)
  • Black sueded knee pads (RPO S0U)
  • Carbon fiber instrument panel molding (RPO 3DL)
  • Premium carpeted floor mats (RPO VYW)

Note that the center stripe color depends on the exterior color selected, with a Silver stripe offered for models in Rapid Blue, and a Shock stripe offered for models in Black, Satin Steel Metallic or Summit White.

What’s more, the Shock and Steel Package also includes the RS Package (RPO code WRS), rear stanchion spoiler (RPO code D5Z), and Brembo four-pot brakes (RPO code J55) when ordered in conjunction with 2LT and 3LT trim levels.

To note, the Shock and Steel Package is not available in conjunction with the Redline Package (RPO code WBL) or the SS 1LE Track Performance Package (RPO code A1Y).

Changes for the 2022 model year include the availability of Rapid Blue exterior paint, a new addition to the Camaro’s color lineup, which can be ordered in conjunction with Shock and Steel Package.

Pricing for the package is so far unannounced, but for reference, the package costs $4,395 when equipped on 2021 Chevy Camaro Coupe 2SS trim levels.

  1. Thank you for advertising the Camaro more in two days than gm has in 4 years. It’s a great car that deserves better than the mismanagement it’s received.

  3. Sad that a sticker package costs $4400! WTF would pay that much for some stickers! Do the stickers make the car faster or handle better? THIS IS A JOKE!!! No wonder the car will be cancelled soon. The marketing department should be fired ASAP!!!! Nothing special like the hellcat, redeye, shaker, mach 1, bullet, etc… We get stickers?
