2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Introduces Ventilated Front Seats

The all-new 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is here, adding further practicality to the all-electric Bolt lineup. When the new Chevy Bolt EUV goes on sale this summer, customers will have a chance to beat the heat with ventilated front seats.

For those readers who may be unaware, ventilated seats provide a stream of air that blows against the passenger’s back, keeping them cool and dry, even in hot and humid climates. It’s a lovely feature, one which was previously unavailable in the Chevy Bolt lineup.

Now, however, that’s changing, as the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV introduces a new ventilated front seat feature. Note that while the all-new Bolt EUV offers ventilated seats, the refreshed 2022 Chevy Bolt EV does not.

The ventilated seats are tagged with RPO code KU1 for the driver-side seat, and KU3 for the front passenger seat. The feature is available as part of the Convenience Package (RPO code WPA), offered for $1,695 on the Bolt EUV LT. The Convenience Package requires both the Driver Confidence Package (RPO code WPA), priced at $495, and the Comfort Package (RPO code WPT), priced at $895.

The Driver Confidence Package comes with high-tech safety and convenience features, including Lane Changer Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Park Assist, while the Comfort Package includes heated front seats, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, and an eight-way Power Driver Seat. In addition to ventilated front seats, the Convenience Package also includes leather upholstery, a rear armrest, light-sensitive rearview mirror, Dark Android wheels, and a Passenger Seat Map Pocket.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Premier offers ventilated seats as standard. The Bolt EUV Launch Edition offers the feature as standard as well.

As a reminder, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV rides on the BEV2 platform, with pricing starting at $33,395.

As GM Authority covered previously, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV will also be offered with a panoramic sunroof.

  1. For all the climate change hot air coming out the owners?

  2. The seats are more efficient (e.g. increase range) because you cool or heat the person rather than the whole cabin, especially since there’s little free waste heat on a EV. Also lets them downsize the HVAC system, saving weight.

    1. Ding ding ding. That’s the reason. Thanks for the perfect and succinct explanation Sam.

      1. Electric cars are just goofy. Like 2 left shoes for a one legged liberal. A gas car can heat the whole car.
