GMC Savana Discount Cuts MSRP By $3,000 In December 2020

In what has come to be a seemingly regular occurrence, General Motors is offering a nationwide GMC Savana discount that reduces the price of the van by $3,000 during December 2020. Notably, the offer appears to apply to all trim levels of both 2020 Savana Cargo and Passenger vans as well as 2021 models. To clarify, it seems the discount does not apply to remaining in-stock 2019 Savana models.

Prospective buyers may be interested to know that an identical offer is available for the Savana’s corporate twin—the Chevrolet Express. For those who may not be familiar with the products, both vehicles ride on the GM GMT 610 platform, and offer identical powertrain options, which include the 4.3L LV1 V6, 6.0L L96 Vortec V8, 6.0L LC8 Vortec V8, and Duramax turbo-diesel 2.8L LWN I4 engines. Notably, both 6.0-liter eight-cylinder engine options will be deleted for the 2021 model year, and replaced by the 6.6-liter L8T V8 engine.

While it is currently unclear when or if a next-generation Express will reach the market, we do know that the current model will continue to be sold through the 2023 calendar year. A possible all-new replacement could arrive thereafter, potentially as an electric van.

Featured Purchase Offer: $3,000 cash allowance

Featured Finance Offer: 0.9 percent APR for up to 72 months + $1,250 cash allowance

The above offer is available through January 4^th, 2021.

As mentioned, the above GMC Savana discount is also applicable to all 2020 models of the well-known work van, including LS and LT trim levels of the Passenger variant and Cargo models in both 2500 and 3500 forms. As such, the offer lowers the overall starting price of the 2020 Savana van to $34,695.

For reference, the applicable 2020 and 2021 GMC Savana configurations, trim levels, and their corresponding starting MSRPs are as follows, $1,195 destination freight charge included:

Passenger:
- LS – $37,695
- LT – $38,795

Cargo:
- Work Van – $33,795
