This 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Hearse Has Been Converted Into A Camper

This 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood hearse has been converted into an RV of sorts – perfect for camping, or even living in in a pinch. Talk about irony. Complete with sleeping quarters, 120-volt A/C, and a toilet, it’s the ultimate cross-country cruiser that used to transport the deceased.

This Cadillac RV is powered by a 5.7 LT1 V8 from a C4 Corvette, mated to a rebuilt transmission, and it returns just under 18 miles per gallon on the highway. In addition to the recently refurbished powertrain, the custom Cadi also features a rearview camera, HID headlights, a 23-inch TV with DVD player, memory-foam mattress, solar panel, battery bank, and a 2000-watt Xantrex power source, plus all the luxurious appointments that the Fleetwood originally came with.

Back in April of 2017, this bad boy was listed for sale on eBay, but the ad expired before a single bid was placed. It looks like niche hearse RVs with flashy paint jobs are a hard sell, especially when the starting bid is $12,000. Who knew?
