Vauxhall is getting nostalgic for this year’s reboot of the annual Art Car Boot Fair. This summer, Vauxhall and the event will invade Vauxhall, London, the birthplace of the automaker for the event.
The one-day art fair will host big name artists such as Sir Peter Blake, Marcus Harvey, Gavin Turk, Pam Hogg, Bob & Roberta Smith, Polly Morgan, and Rachel Howard. This year, Vauxhall has named the theme, too, titled “The Original”, which should make for some rare and exclusive pieces to be had for one day only. There will also be a one-off Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer wrapped in an exclusive design by artist Kristjana Williams
It’s not just about the art, though. Vauxhall’s Car Boot Fair will include live music, a vodka bar, workshops and a marching band parade. The main events will take place at The Workshop, a new events space on Whitgift Street, the former workshops of The London Fire Brigade. Vauxhall says more information will become available in May.
The Art Car Boot Fair will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2017, with a £5 admission fee. If you can’t make it, don’t fret. Vauxhall will hold a second Boot Fair in September to close out the summer in Folkestone, Kent.
